Lance Parrish-epic fail-on friday the 13th

I think most fans would agree, that team should have won more titles. They were nearly flawless. SP wasn't deep but other than that, they were a power house. Great D, power, solid lineup, great RP. Bill Lajoie put 1 helluva team together.

That's a stupid article. Parrish didn't make all three outs in that inning, unless he was also the baserunner at first who got forced out at second while at the same time being the batter who grounded into that double play.

Kind of like my stupid signature of Denard Robinson wondering if he can throw a pass downfield to himself.

Although Denard might actually be that fast; I'd like to see him try it at least once....

He was responsible for all 3 outs, I think that's what the author meant.

When a player hits into a GIDP, the man at first is usually the easiest out unless he is in motion before the ball is hit.

So the baserunner was out due to no fault of his own.

Granted this was 27 years ago, but I seem to remember at the time all the broadcasts talking about poor Lance making all 3 outs.
