Levy on the active/non football injury list

I was glad they resigned him when they did, now, not so much.

Ya this has me worried. Hip injuries are finicky things, and for a LBer who excels at being quick, especially laterally, I worry about the impact this injury will have on him.

The Lions brass all are saying they are being overly cautious with him, but they said the same crap last year, and he missed the entire season.

One thing is for sure - in order for the Lions defense to have any shot at being above average this season, Levy needs to be on that field (and playing at 100%).

Normally I'd be telling people to chill, wait and see. But like you said, we've already seen this same exact song and dance. People have every right to be skeptical.

Most frustrating thing is they kept him out last year, then said he could've got on the field but wanted to keep him fresh for 2016. 2016 is here and Levy isn't. Very worrisome.

Van Noys time to shine baby! lmao. Im going to make:

"Van Noy....because we need a new Broyles" T Shirt.....who wants one?!

We deserve levy healthy. This is beyond crap

Call me a conspiratard but Levy is the reason Levy isn't healthy.

He has a boatload of guaranteed money whether he plays another snap.

He's been an outspoken advocate against the physical rigors of football.

He's a free spirit who enjoys life outside of football more than the game itself.

It all adds up to the fact that he doesn't want to play anymore.

Well put, and I fully agree with your final sentence. He just kinda seems like he's done all he wanted to do in the game.

So, (a) he's only in it for the money and he's just fucking over the Lions?

(b) physical rigors of football meaning concussions, right? Because I don't think i've ever heard him complain about anything else.

(c) he enjoys life.....god forbid that he does that. He stays out of trouble. That's a bad thing? Oh, and you heard or read that the game of football is second choice over his lifestyle? Awesome! I wonder if Quinn and Caldwell know about this? Lol

"He doesn't want to play anymore" See (c)....Well, somebody better get the Lions brass on this. This is pretty fucking serious lol.

And i'm the pot smoker here.....wow.

Is there an argument in there or do you just enjoy rewritting my posts?

I had to rewrite this one because it's pure fucking magic. How do you even argue with pure lunacy to begin with?? You can't really. Know what you do??? You shake your head and slowly back away...lol.

Oh, and you basically called yourself a retard for even suggesting such nonsense anyways. What's the point in even arguing it? I already won...lol.

Good job tho, cheeno ;) ....you showed me

Read this article Tony. Does Levy sound like a guy that wants to put his heart and soul into the game anymore? IMO, he's got one foot out the door. How do you look at Levy's actions off the field during the last year? Whether its questioning how the NFL is handling the concussions/CTE, applauding players walking away from the game early, or stating that a season watching from the sidelines has shifted his perspective of the game, Levy just seems like a guy ready to call it quits. The fear of how football will affect him later in life is clearly outweighing his love for the game.

Maybe you're right!!! Idk. He has a voice. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so. But to suggest that he's just going through the motions and he's already got one foot out the door is just guess work. Nobody knows what his intentions are. Do you think he's just playing the Lions? I don't. If he is then he's a fucking dbag. Just quit then....don't play the franchise for fools.
I think it just comes down that Levy is a different guy, a smart man and he's trying to make everyone aware of the HUGE problem in the NFL when it comes to the way they handle injuries in the NFL. He's begging for change. I don't think he's wrong....do you? Tell you what tho.....we're going to see more and more of these guys retiring earlier than expected if they don't change protocol or at least try....

And have you ever thought that maybe he's speaking out because he actually does LOVE the game and wants it saved before it's too late?? Think about that.....

.....

I think we all have a pretty good idea what his intentions are.....hes going on his second year of not being in pads. Actions speak louder than words.

Nah , don't blame the guy at all. How is this game going to be saved though? Concussions are always going to be there, and players are always going to hide them to stay on the field. There is no solution. Let's face it, players know the risks, but the pay is just too damn good.

Good for you!!! Glad you got it all figured out lol

Maybe the franchise is just looking out for their superstar LB??
