was and still is bullshit.

Levy didn't lead with his helmet, didn't aim at the packer player helmet. Instead, he was going for the shoulder, but the packer lowered his head into the hit. Maybe I am bias.

So, from this single hit, this came....

"We need to get tougher, choke people, punch them in their throat," a disgusted Daniels said following the 40-10 loss. "I mean, that guy got a helmet-to-helmet on us. You know what? He was trying to send a message and every now and then you got to do that."

Three plays later Levy picked off Flynn's pass. The Packers never scored again. The only end zone they reached was their own on a safety.

"I'm not condoning illegal hits, but we need to punch someone in their throats for once," Daniels said.

..........................

I'm not sure if he's calling us dirty again or was being serious, but I still don't see how it was a dirty play. Even if you think the 15 yard penalty was legit, it's clear it was incidental.

He wants the packers to play tougher than they did.

I don't even think that was the worst call of the game. We were on punt coverage and the Packer gunner is grabbing the Lions facemask for about 10 yards down the field and then pulls him to the ground with it. We weren't even touching him...they called holding on us.

Clean hit, the Matthews hit was dirty as shit though

Yeah that was Ross 60 yard return. Pure crap. Detroit had that glorious 7 minute TD drive after that.

levy call was BS. If they called it a personal foul hitting a defenseless Reciever than maaaayyyybe I can see it being called correctly.....but they called helmet to helmet which is BS cause he led with the shoulder.

They need to make helmet to helmet hits an automatically reviewed play. These collisions happen so fast and many times the guy does not hit the head first or lead with his head...but you get the whiplash effect that makes it look like he targeted the head. Treat those calls like scoring plays and review them in the booth.

Agreed, kinda like they do with the targeting calls in cf

Did anybody else catch Traymon Williams kicking Reiff in the knee?? I don't get how that's any different than Suh stepping on a linemen. (Other than it's not Suh.)

13 pass rush plays total for Delmas, Levy, Tulloch and Palmer.

This is the first one Delmas hit home. Quin got one last week.

They blitz about the same amount, but they are just hitting home better these last 2 weeks. Glennon and Flyn may have something to do with that too.
