Leyland was just on Mike & Mike. Really good interview. He said he called Miggy on Sunday and asked if he would be interested in playing 3B. Miggy told him he has always wanted to play there. When asked about possibly getting Prince he was all in and told JL to bat him anywhere. Leyland also addressed Miggy's weight. He said he is at 255 and he doesn't want him to lose any. Pretty good interview. I'm sure you can pull it up on ESPN

Over under 65 games at third base for Miguel... I say under.. DH all the way... But I hope I am wrong and Miguel can hack it... Thanks i will pull the interview up later.

I've been lurking off and on some AL "contender" teams boards, (non-ESPN) that are viewable w/o needing to register, like the NYY and Red Sox to read their reactions to the Tigers obtaining Fielder. There of course aren't very many out in the interwebz for the Angels and Rangers, and likely none for the Rays (although I haven't really searched for any), just going by the fact that the Rays board on ESPN was about as active as a cemetery @ midnight, even during their team's recent postseason play.

Most Yankees fans were posting about how vulnerable the Tigers will be on infield defense, nevermind that the Yankees' IF has big flaws as well, particularly on their leftside. Most weren't aware that Miggy actually asked Leyland if he could play @ 3B, even prior to the Tigers acquiring Fielder, of course. "Some" fans were giving the Tigers rave reviews, and consider the middle of the order as now being truly deadly, esp if/when VMart returns, and they also gave the Tigers kudos for trying to move on from VMart's injury, and seriously remain WS contenders, but many if not most other Yankees and Red Sox fans consider the remainder of the Tigers team outside of Cabrera, Fielder, Valverde, and JV and "maybe" Fister to be nothing but a bunch of scrubs. Color me unsurprised.

you would think after getting beaten the last two postseason series that we've played by us, they'd shut their mouths.

Our infield range does concern me. But I think our bats can make up for it. Lets face it Inge has better range but he made a lot of errors last year and he couldnt hit for shit.
