Lions interested in Jets Guard Brandon Moore

I'd like to see us getting younger on the line, but you can't argue with results at any age.

Brandon Moore - G - Jets Free agent OG Brandon Moore visited the Lions, but left without a contract.
It's unclear when the visit took place. MLive.com believes Moore may not become a real option for the Lions until after the draft. He may be off the market by then. Related: LionsSource: MLive.com Mar 29 - 9:15 AM

The way its looking they wanna fill that #2 WR/deep threat spot through FA. I think Moore is probably just coming in so they can get medical info on him and let them know they are interested, but i think they will wait until after the draft. If they go LT at #5 then that pushes Reiff to RG and Fox/Hilliard to RT and knocks Moore out the equation. If they go Milliner or Ansah or someone else I think they'd wanna bring him in.

I still think they want a DE too, but are gonna wait for draft there too. I think Mayhew has a good plan in place right now and knows what holes to fill.

The only thing I think is ignored, outside of maybe a cheap vet (Jammer), is CB. Obviously Houston is there, but I think they really like what they have in Green/Bentley/Greenwood. Thats just my gut feeling, but assuming Fish/Joeckel/Jordan/Ansah aren't the first four picks I think they don't go Milliner.

I'm not sure on this, but I just think Schwartz has a ton of confidence is either his coaching/scouting to take a CB that high. Outside of Pac-Man who was a bit more then just a corner they typically took CB's in the mid to late rounds and did really well. The Vincent Fullers/Eric King/Courtland Finnegan/Verner/McCourty/Chris Carr's of the world. Just seemed to me they didn't value CB's high in the draft over there and I think Schwartz took that with him. We've taken quite a few since hes been here, but Bentley or Spievey were the highest in the 3rd. I just think outside of maybe FA they don't mess with the CB's in the draft.

agree with all of this. the last paragraph is a perfect explanation of schwartz's...i guess you could call it ignorance. How many years in a row can your secondary get torched before you decide to address your secondary? If they dont somehow find a couple DEs that can get to the qb our current secondary as it stands now will be torched again in 2013. Willie Yong and Ronnel Lewis....
