Get StartedWhat? It's this some twisted joke? Why, WHY..
I like the move for the most part. Never hurts to have a set of experienced eyes evaluating talent and providing one on one instruction for development.
Throwing him a bone for some reason. Senior assistant? lmfao...he'll have next to zero input on games. But of course the board negative Nancies put on a full panic attack. Like clockwork smdh

"Believe it or not, a lot of my background goes through Oakland," he said. "I learned a lot from Al Davis about players and the patience you have to have to have to develop good players."
Great...just great. Not too excited to keep him in the organization, but at least he's not calling plays anymore.

make sense....al davis sucked at player development....no wonder why lol. Staying status quo and playing the same guys over and over will get you nothing but losing more games than you win...again. Take Houston for example.....if we want to get better he shouldn't see the field. A new coach and staff gives me a small bit of hope that changes for the better will be made where you struggled....like cb play. Esp since you hired a secondary coach as dcord. But then you confuse it by keeping a guy like Gunther on staff. Just doesn't make sense to me...
That's more or less what I thought, lol. Firing a guy, only to retain him at a lower position in the organization doesn't make much sense to me. And like Mitch just said, the first thing I thought when I read that quote was the Lions taking a speed-demon who is extremely raw (Al Davis strategy).
