Great list..I hope KC doesn't object but I'm going to sticky it.

Great Tigers Stats and Info Bob! Glad it was sticky'ed.
I gave it a 5 Star Rating.

Wow I didn't realize Inge, Henneman, or Todd Jones played long enough to hold those records. Holding a record for strikeouts in a Tiger uniform... not a way to get popular.

Verlander with 1789 K's... I wonder with his injury if he still has a shot at Mickey Lolich's 2679 still? Going into this season I thought he was a lock to catch ML.. Probably still is.. Hope he does...

Outside shot at all time wins also. Who could have, answered who holds the record lol.

But on another note damn Cobb was a beast

biggunsbob needs to add Spencer Turnbull to his list of Tigers SPs who tossed no-hitters.

Most teams played for (year) 1972 Mike Kilkenny: Tigers-Athletics-Padres-Indians (tied for most w/11 others, including ex-Tiger Dan Miceli ('97) in 2002.

Oldest living former Tiger was Johnny Groth 94 years, 165 days as of 01/04/21 (1946-52) (1957.5-60).

Passed away August 7, 2021 RIP

Former Tiger Eddie Robinson born 12/15/20 (1957) made it to 100, but that's as far as he got, passing away on 10/04/21.

Oldest living former Tiger as of 03/28/22 is Roy Face born 02/20/28 age 94. Pitched in only 2 appearances in 1968 as a Tiger. Face's contract was sold to the Tigers on August 31, 1968 from the NL Pittsburgh Pirates.

Oldest Tiger to be still be playing on a Tigers team was Hughie Jennings September 2, 1918 @ 49 years, 153 days.

Tallest Tiger: Tony Clark 6' 8" (1995-2001). Shortest: Ralph (Pep) Young: 5' 5" (1915-21). Fattest: Dmitri (Meathook) Young @ ~295 lbs. Slowest: Prince Fielder (2012-13)

Worst short-term Tigers: 1B: Nate Colbert (1975) 2B: Steve Dillard (1978) SS: Neifi Perez (2006-07) 3B: Craig Paquette (2002-03) C:Matt Treanor (2009) RF: Jerry Morales (1979) -2.4 WAR CF: Eric Davis (1994) LF: Jaque Jones (2008) DH: Pete Incaviglia (1998) RHP Mike Pelfrey (2016) Brad Penny (2011) Jose Lima (1994-96) AND (2001-02) Masao Kida (1999-2000) LHP Jarrod Washburn (2009) Dontrelle Willis (2008-10.5) CJ Nitkowski (1999-2002.5) Dan Schatzeder (1980-81)

All teams have hundreds of RPs who could make their worst lists, including the Tigers, whose fans have had love-hate relationships. esp with late innings setups and closers, like this season with Rondon and K cum HRod. A few of the most disliked have been Kyle Farnsworth, Jason Grilli, Phil Choke, Jose Mesa, and esp Papa Grande and Joaquin Benoit postseason.

Magglio Ordonez....1 of only 7 players in MLB history to have hit a walkoff homer to win a Pennant (vs A's in Game 4 in 2006 ALCS)

Death by suicide: Win Mercer Tigers Player-Manager 1903 (inhaled illuminating gas)

https://calltothepen.com/2017/01/12/detroit-tigers-history-win-mercer-commits-suicide/

By heart attack while still active (Dominican Winter League): Jose Lima 2010.

From diabetes: Marc Hall 1915.

Ex-convicts: Ron LeFlore (1974-77) Ugueth Urbina (2004-2005.5)

2 Grand Slams in 1 game: Jim Northrup 06-24-68 vs @ Indians 5th and 6th innings (one of only 13 players all-time) He actually could have had 3 GS that day, but struck out after hitting a long drive that went foul w/3 on in the first inning.

Homers from both sides of plate/game: Nelson Simmons (09/16/85) Mickey Tettleton (05/07/1993) Chad Kreuter (09/07/93) Raul Casanova (06/06/96) Melvin Nieves 2 (07/15/96) (08/20/96) Tony Clark 6 (04/05/97) (06/17/98) (07/26/98) (08/01/98) (07/18/99) (07/25/99) Carlos Guillen 4 (05/31/04) (07/24/04) (09/12/06) (09/23/09) Dimitri Young (09/18/04) Victor Martinez (07/01/16).

Stole home Career: 54 Ty Cobb (50 with Tigers) MLB record.

Stole home Season: (1912) 8 Ty Cobb MLB record.

Stole second, third, and home after one AB: 4 Ty Cobb. MLB record.

According to the Baseball Almanac, Sam (Wahoo) Crawford, who played multiple positions for the Tigers 1905-17 has the most career triples all-time, with 309 (including with the Cincy Reds 1899-1902) to 295 for Cobb (including Philly Athletics 1927-28).
