LOL - heartwarming Manti Teo girlfriend dying story was a hoax

Lol I love stories like this. My head's not actually spinning, but there is a shit ton of information, and it's like piecing together a weird ass puzzle.

not much to figure out. a chick made up a fake profile and teo fell in love with a fake internet profile lol. Hed lied about meeting her but who wouldnt with all the national media he gets. To him it was a little white lie obviously until it was found out by the media that the whole thing was fake. Teo obviously didnt think it was fake when he was crying over her.....so i put less blame on him and all the blame on the crazy lunatic chick making up fake profiles. Only blame Teo gets is for being a dumbass that fell for it. Just because its a fake profile doesnt mean he wasnt talking to her every night and developed feelings for her. Shit happens cause chicks are nuts....

I dont believe that. This is not on a fake girl at all. Tuiasosopo created a character, Te'o went along with it in order to gather fame, and built on it. Did the interviews, cried fake tears, the whole nine. He got caught, and he just needs to admit it.

First let me start by saying that I dont think Notre Dame knew anything about this garbage and had nothing to do with it.

That being said,

I am stunned by this story. I dont try to hide the fact that I am a ND fan, but this story angers me. Manti Teo' was my favorite player on the team, and I respected the hell out of him..not only for his football skills, but for the character he showed during this season. He was an inspiration to me and I know a lot of you guys on this board respected him too.

But now I find out that this woman didnt even exist? That he was 'dooped' into believing that his 'gf' had died as some sort of sick joke. Either he is most naive person in the whole entire world, or he was in on this entire 'prank' (what the fuck do you even call this cluster?) somehow and in that case, I lose all respect for him and am embaressed that he is even on the ND Football team.

I dont care how talented he may be on the football field, I want nothing to do with him, and def dont want the lions to draft him.. The amount of planning and compulsive lying it must have taken from him in order to pull off such a ridiculous lie is pathetic. He def. has some personal problems, and I bet if he went to a physcologist, he would be diagnosed with a number of mental disorders. OR, if he somehow is that naive, and did get tricked into thinking she was actually dead, then I highly question his intelligence, and still dont want the Lions to draft him.

Like I said beore, I am shocked by this story, and I really hope the truth comes out, not only because that way people will know that ND had nothing to do with this FUBAR story, but also, Teo will either be exosped for the lying scumbag he is, or he will learn a valuable lesson about being naive and hopefully get his head out of his ass

i got lost by the time i started reading about all the tuiasosopo crap lol. Turns out it didnt help out at all. Also, it wasnt their responsiblity to say anything, it is a manti Teo' story, and it should have been up to him to confess.
