Manfred addresses Cuba, Pete Rose, fan safety, takeout slides, more

Based on what I read, he didn't address a damn thing. Just a series of bureaucratic BS. Especially the part about protecting fans. Maybe if/when his cranium gets in the way of a foul ball or tossed bat, he might consider that there are people in the world who could perhaps design a bespoke solution to protect spectators in every park.

To truly protect every fan you'd need a cage or net or something else all around the stadium. I sat behind home plate once with the net to look through and hated it. What can they do? if some is worried about getting hit, stay at home.

imo, they need to do something that is the same for each ballpark. say the end of each dugout.

C'mon, there's a solution to protect the fans from dugout to dugout that I think will be in place within five years.
