Marlins' home game cancelled tonight b/c of COVID 19 outbreak

StL Cardinals 3rd consecutive series postponed this weekend...they have played only 5 games so far...by Monday most teams will have played in 10 and a few in a dozen more games than that! How many more series can be postponed before they have trouble making up these games and play 60 like the rest of MLB? What are they gonna do, play doubleheaders for 25 days?

Okay.

The teams who caused the postponements because of positive Covid test results, if the games ultimately can?t be rescheduled, will simply have to forfeit.

That?s just the way it will have to be.

There have been what - four out of thirty teams?

The other teams apparently have been following off field protocols.

So screw the violating outliers.

MLB finishing this season in the face of monumental improbabilities would have a positive ripple effect across the country - really the world - of a magnitude that vastly exceeds the game itself.

Here is the thing...for teams that have played all their games - which is the majority - the short season is already a quarter the way through - we’re halfway to the All-Star break.

There what, three or four teams with problems?

This here chart shows the preseason favorites to win it all amongst sports betters. Notice none of the top five - nor the top ten - have had Covid outbreaks. The teams with the outbreaks are teams who were given little to no chance to win, and of course, they knew that about themselves. Does anybody here think that’s a coincidence? Of course not.

FUCK THOSE TEAMS! As I stated in the post #45, if the games can’t be rescheduled, they forfeit.

BUBBLE EVERYONE GOING FORWARD! Home teams hotel up with their families too. Hotel to the park and back, that’s it for both teams, and hotel to the mode of transport to the hotel on road trips, until the end of the season.

That’s it.

Going into the first turn, this baseball season has become way too important not to finish.

It’s the first baseball season in history that actually matters, for anything, at all.

I'll never understand why some people think that its funny to use that stiff-armed salute in public, which to me is far more insulting to vets and the deceased from WWII that kneeling ever could be. But then maybe Christenson is a bigot and wanted to make a statement.

Pretty hard for a person to not be aware that they?re making that Hitler salute, and then not to be aware that they?re making the Hitler salute again while they?re saying they?re literally making the Hitler salute again.

On a lighter note, I remember once on television Mark Fidrych once said ?bullshit,? and then he immediately said ?oh ? I?m sorry ? I?m sorry I said bullshit.?

As of today, 08/14/2020, the Cardinals have only played 5 games...11 less than the first place Cubs. They are 2-3 and in 2nd place, 5.5 games back. The Reds are 8-11 and in 3rd place 6.5 games back.

There are several teams that have already played 20 games.

Can just cancel St. Louis season. Opponents either win on forfeit or just have an adjusted win loss record with out those games counted to qualify for postseason.
