Starting O had seemed to be just going through the motions. Then the D started down the path that was their MO last year, bad penalties, pushing and shoving and getting out of the game mentally.
Then it seemed there was a shift. It seemed like the O got a little pissed off and started operating on all thrusters while the D took a breath and relaxed, letting their play speak for them.
I'm hoping there was a maturing of the D while the O got that fire burning. Baltimore was the perfect opponent for them to grow into an even better team it seems. Even in preseason these types of mental stepping stones can help a team reach new heights.
