Michael Bennett

I can't take it anymore, too much good stuff..this would be huge.

From scouts:

Scouts Inc.
Bennett is a good-sized defensive end who has steadily improved in virtually every phase of his game since coming into the league as an undrafted free agent. He has very good initial quickness and solid upfield acceleration and agility as a pass-rusher. He can use his hands to get his shoulders past the blocker and pressure the pocket with a solid burst. He rarely stays blocked for long and will feel and fight through pressure as he squeezes the play down when defending the run. His reading and recognition skills have improved with experience, and he has become a very solid starter.

They also gave him these ratings, 5 as max..

4 Run Defense
5 Pass Rush
4 Quickness
5 Strength
4 Recognition
4 Durability

makes you think if hes so good why TB is letting him walk when DE is one of their major needs. They have a ton of cap space and a reemerging defense.....yet theyre not even trying to resign him? doesnt make much sense without looking too much into it.

Bennett is a one year wonder I guess. They have Bowers and Clayborn drafted high. And McCoy.

Who knows, I guess Bush isn't very good since Miami made no attempt at signing him. Could be several reasons.

If they really are looking into getting Revis, I doubt they want to eat up too much cap space.

A LOT of reasons why they could be letting him walk.

Bennet and James Jones....hmmmm.....i think itd be an upgrade over avril and KVB. Should also eat up some more blocks and allow for cleaner tackles by the LBs. Does it make us a "strength of our team" / will relieve pressure of our secondary type of dline????....not too sure those guys are difference makers to that extent. Good solid signings...good starters....but i think we'd still be missing that elite pass rusher this defense has needed. Maybe they get more pressure vs one on ones than avril did though.....we'll have to wait n see.

The good thing if its considered a good thing, whoever replaces KVB will be an improvement.

They must like to rotate or something. I know one guy is coming off an injury but who are there starters now? IMO, Bennett is better than Avril.
