this is just god awful. no runs at all. everytime they score they let iwoa come right back down and score and run off clock.

Would have been nice to have both teams maybe in the top 10 for Tuesday night, but I'll take another game in the standings.

I love Michigan but we have too many MAC type players on this team.Mcklimans, Volgrich, Akkune,and everyone else on the roster that you dont see often are not major D1 players.I love Novack and Douglas , but our team next year is gonna improve dramatically on the defensive end of the floor without them. Subtract Douglas and Novack and insert Mcgeary, Robinson, and Staukas and you have a definite boost in athleticism.Mcgeary, Morgan, Burke , Robinson, and Hardaway, with Smoytrich, Staukas, Brundridge, and Horford coming off the bench.Now that is a team that will be alot better on both sides of the ball!

Your crazy to think Freshmen are going to come in and dominate on the defense.. Maybe Mcgeary but not a chance the other guys will be better then Novak or even Stu for that matter on defense. First things first is you need to get Hardaway to play some defense because he takes to many plays off. They may be better athletically but it will take time before all of them get their defensive legs as you say.. Even Burke struggles on defense in a lot of games.

More like 30 or 40 haha, people really don't understand how good this MSU team is. I have watched basically every game they have played this season, and they have progressed greatly every single game. Well Michigan has regressed.

But with Michigan at home I expect it to be a nail biter.

Well, so now we both lose a game before tuesday. That sucks. Oh well, the B1G is so tough this year. It looks as though any road win you get will be huge. Going to be an interesting second half to the season.

If Michigan plays good they will win. I agree that MSU has progressed nicely but I do not think they are a top ten team.. they certainly were worked today... Life on te road in the Big ten were any team can beat you.. If Evan breaks out of his slump UM will beat MSU... If not it will be hard to win..

Smotz should be coming off the bench and I can't wait until the team is good enough for that to be the situation. He can't go inside and finish at 6'9" because he is so unathletic and weak. His shooting in the Big 10 has been a horrific 9/36. When he has to go up against a guy like Watford, he gets destroyed. I have been ripping him lately on here, but it is all valid. He is a major liability. I had high hopes for him this year and he has been a total letdown.

He is just going through a rough patch.. No on could have kept up his hot shooting he was having and all those double doubles my guess he is somewhere in-between what you say he is..If guys stay we will be deeper and maybe he comes off the bench next year. But then that means more freshmen will be starting. Evan is a good player going through a slump.. This is where JB needs to coach up a good plays and get Evan back in rhythm with his 3 point shot.. Heck maybe he is tired because a lot of the shots he is missing he is wide open. Lack of hustle though is unacceptable and JB was right benching him today.. He got 10 and 9 rebounds verses PSU and Minnesota so that is hogwash he cannot rebound in the Big ten.. He just has to work at it. he is a young player that is letting his slump effect his rebounding.. Losing Horford expanded his minutes a bit...

He just looks disinterested to me a lot of times and that bugs me. Plus, I still don't think he is that good. He has an outside shot and that is about it. When he is off, like he has been for the past 6 games, he is a major liability. He can't really rebound in the Big 10 and he is not a good defender. I'm worried about how exploited he will be against MSU on Tuesday. I really hope he gets his game together and steps up, but I'm extremely doubtful.
