Get StartedWe all do. If you've been watching this year, you know we can't pummel good teams. Wish it was different.Michigan ranked 19-20 and ND ranked 7-8, and Michigan is the favorite. Right. Sounds like a setup for ND. If they win, they beat the favorite. I hope Michigan pummels them!!

PSU isn't that good either. If the team from the last 2.5 quarters shows up they can. Hell, they did. Outscored PSU 21-7 and should have been 28-7 over the last 35 minutes. Only score given up was a blown coverage against one of the better receivers in the league.
I think they win this game. ND is not as good as their record would indicate.
Sagarin would predict a complete toss up:
ND rating..............................88.91
Michigan rating + home field...88.74
ND has a slight advantage in SOS (38th vs 50th) but if I remember the teachings of the great abcd1960, that's not enough to be a material difference.
If the OL can block like they did against PSU, and Patterson can hang in there and fling it down field like he was doing, we should win!
oh, also on that QB sneak TD, Penn State tried to GOUGE PATTERSON'S EYES OUT

All Shea needed to do was chomp on his finger and not relent. Then, we'd know the culprit.
It's difficult to bite down with your eyelids. :ugh:
Patterson earned the loyalty of his teammates after that, I think. certainly the loyalty of the big guys on the line. Runyan was the first to mention it publicly.
Hope that game quieted all the calls to bench Patterson... it should have. I was kinda thinking the pressure of McCaffrey taking over might've hurt Patterson's performance early in the season. I think Harbaugh recognized it too.
the "either guy could play" preseason talk was unintentionally harmful.
If a finger is that close to your eye there has to be something nearby to chomp on? Just a thought.
