Michigan Superlatives - Preseason rundown

Not that we need a reminder, and with 10 days to go until kickoff there are more important things to talk about, but a brief note might be in order.

Michigan...

...is once again the WINNINGEST program in college football, both in overall wins and winning percentage (#1 at 0.730 vs. #2 ND at 0.728),

...has the best helmet in college football,

...has the best uniforms in college football, and

...has the best fight song in college football.

No debate necessary or even possible. none of these things are arguable.

it would suck on the old ESPN boards when we'd have "best helmet" threads and everyone would just vote for their own school... even if they went somewhere with lousy helmets, like Minnesota, PennSt, or Purdue.

Given the amount of people that follow UM football, this is a bold statement. While I will tell you there was a time that I followed Nascar. However not in the last 8-10 years since they have greatly changed the sport. I am willing to bet there are a fair amount of fans that follow both, especially since Harbaugh has come to town. (bandwagon jumpers and such). Although to satisfy your ego, Ill say Ohio State probably has the most duel sport fans.

My guess is there are more Michigan fans that are NASCAR fans than any other Big 10 school. Don't forget about the Wal Mart Wolverines that fill MIS twice a year.
