Not sure if this has been discussed or not but i was just wondering if i was the only one who thinks Miggy is being a super cocky d bag this year .

He always seems to be joking with EVERYONE while either in the field or when he gets a hit . He is always laughing and pointing to people , i just dont get it

The biggest thin g i hate is when a pitcher makes a good pitch on him and he nods or acknowledges them , like he is just soooo awesome thast when they get him out its some huge victory .

I love him and all but just wondering about this .

He has fun playing the game, other player seems to like chatting with him at 1st also. I don't see anything cocky or d baggy at all.

I get that aspect of it , he just seems to do it everywhere and with everyone ....kind of over the top if u ask me , specially the crap at the plate . oh well all good

I thought last night after the homer was a bit much, but I don't think he's got that type of rep around the league.

I will say, however, it drives me nuts that he asks the first base ump to appeal his check swings. That's just stupid. lol

lol thats funny , im just wondering if anyone else cant stand when miggy is at the plate and the pitcher throws a good pitch and miggy does that stupid nod ??

It's Miggy, that's what he does. I don't think he's doing it anymore this year than he has in the past. It's all good-natured, I don't think anyone believes him to be showing anybody up out there. Baseball is a long grind of a season, it's nice to see him keeping it loose in my opinion.

Playoffs are a different story. If I see him laughing it up with David Ortiz in the ALCS for example, that would bother me.

When you are the best hitter in either league 2 straight years with back to back MVP's and the Triple Crown, and a top 3 hitter all of baseball for several years running, you can get away with anything remote to what you are seeing as the nod or perceived as d-baggery.

Cabrera for what he's done here should be getting more praise especially after the issues he had with drinking that he overcame, along with the personal accolades that followed, yet this dumb thread exists just because the guy is passionate about playing the game and shows it. *smh*

Miggy is just a kid inside, who loves playing the game and having fun.it's a shame others don't treat it as a game instead of a job.

Miggy is actually very refreshing and I love to use him as an example when fans think you always need to be angry in order to play well. No one has more fun playing any sport than Miggy. And it's arguable that anyone is better at what they do than Miggy.

Touche !!! haha , its all good . I think i noticed it the most when we were winning everyday and everything was all sunshine and rainbows . But now that we suck lately it isnt so "refreshing" to see ....The one time a pitcher struck him out and he did that stupid nod at him . When the pitcher didnt acknowledge his nod and didnt give 2 shits , miggy kept staring at him like " dont you know who i am !!??"

Miggy didn't have to go over to the kids while in the on deck circle in Boston. Most players wouldn't. This guy has respect for the game and likes to have fun.

Just the way he is. He loves to talk to the other players. Leyland always said he was like a big teddy bear
