I covered it all with Spencer Torkelson, the #1 overall draft pick in 2020 and hopefully a future superstar with the Detroit Tigers. We were joined by two other pro baseball players -- Alex Katz, a minor league pitcher in the Royals organization, and Slade Heathcott, a former Yankees outfielder who told us about being A-Rod's teammate and hanging in the hot tub with Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. This is a baseball conversation you DO NOT want to miss.
As we discussed in the video, Spencer has joined forces with Alex and Slade on some custom cleats in the name of charity. The shoes are designed by Stadium Custom Kicks, and all net proceeds benefit More Than Baseball (MTB), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the only organization dedicated to helping minor league ballplayers improve their lives during and after their careers. The organization has helped over 2,000 minor league players on their road to the big leagues.
