Mock Draft Thread

Have the Lions even filed tampering charges against Miami?

Nevermind...I found in another thread we haven't filed charges.

They draft Perriman in the 1st and i'll cry

Good cry or bad cry?

Im down for OL or DL help in the first round. But im assuming all the quality lineman are gone by then. Id rather get a great talent on the offense at that point.

Im not sacrificing value to get a 2nd round lineman at the end of the first just to fill a hole. Especially when a 2nd or 3rd round lineman will still be better than what we have now.

Perriman is exactly the kind of receiver ive been asking this organization to go get the last 3 years. Deep threat opposite CJ is needed more now than ever...especially since CJ has seemingly lost a step and has turned into a 7 yard slant guy. Need someone to stretch the field for Tate to work his magic underneath.

Dline mocked to go prior to our pick:
Fowler
Williams
Beasley
Ray
Dupree
Shelton
Brown
Gregory

Oline mocked to go before our pick:
Scherf
Humphries
Collins
Flowers

So, you can shoot for the 9th best dlineman. 5th/6th best olineman. Or you can get a day 1 impactful offensive weapon...something Stafford has proven he needs to be successful.

PS....I still mocked us the 2nd or 3rd best guard in the draft. And Michael Bennett who I think would start for us at DT.

Well don't put it past this organization to draft him in the 2nd lol.

Bad cry. I love Perriman's upside but he isn't ready to make an impact in year one. And you don't have any patience anyways lol. What makes you think he'll make an impact? Dude has speed...that's it. He's a terrible route runner and has suspect hands. He needs to work on his skills and is at least 2 years away, maybe more. The guy is going to get overdrafted though because he can move. I see the Patriots or the Seahawks taking a flier on him because they can afford to...

If you are going to draft a skill position in the first few rounds, it should be an RB. They cannot come back after drafting Ebron in the 1st with a WR in the 2nd. There's just too many other things this team needs to fix. WR is the last of their concerns.

I agree. I don't even want a WR in this draft unless it's White, Cooper or Parker and they won't be available. CJ has 2-3 years left and Tate hasn't peaked yet IMO. You can find a #3 WR really late or you bring one in via FA. No rush.....for now.

Their needs are DL, OL, RB and DB. Not particularly in that order either...

I think he maybe gone before our pick in the 1st. There is just so many teams that need WR help.

Raiders
Bears
Dolphins
Texans
Chiefs
Browns
Eagles (With Chip who knows though)
Giants (Depending on Cruz)

Nah, I think they can ignore the WR position entirely in this draft. Look at who Seattle was trotting out in the Super Bowl. Chris Matthews and Ricardo Lockette, two undrafted FAs. I think that's one position where you can dig through the scrap heap and find guys to contribute.

Maybe. Lockette is shit though..cmon and Matthews came out of nowhere. All Wilson did was loft the ball up in the air and Matthews snagged it. Something all you guys bash Stafford for when it pertains to Calvin ;)
If an organization is in love with a guy, you take him no matter what. I don't think the Lions are looking for CJ's successor just yet. Maybe next year...idk. Are they looking to upgrade Ross? That's a definite yes but they don't need to draft that one....
