Mock Draft Thread

I believe every team gets 1, so at least a 7th. Mr irrelevant maybe??

I think they only have 32 comp picks. If there aren't 32 players worthy of a comp pick, then I believe they give out the remaining based on the draft order. Which is why we've gotten some comp picks for nothing in the past. But every team will not get one. The Lions are not predicted to get one this year. However are predicted to get 2 next year (2016 draft). We should get the 33rd pick in the 3rd round (highest comp pick awarded). As well as 5th for Fairly.

maybe something small for young because he produced for chi if my memory serves me....his comparative signing would be George Johnson. mayyyyybe get like a 6th for that swap.

It's offset by who we signed last year. Tate and Dig. We'll get nothing even though we lost Young and Hill.

Not sure about a ton. 3rd for Suh, Fairley because he signed for not much and who knows how much he plays.. Maybe a 6?

next year we should get a ton of Comp Picks, FAirley, SUh etc.

3rd for Suh no doubt. 3rd or 4th maybe for Fairley. Fairley getting only a one year deal hurts that some. Tyrun Walker won't offset Fairley and Ngata was a trade so shouldn't count towards hurting our comp picks.

ahhh i thought it was who you signed as a replacement at the same position...my bad.

still waiting on the 1st rounder we should get from mia for tampering. imagine we get:

ngata on an extension
1st from mia tampering
3rd from comp pick

could be mayhews prize move and all he did was fuck up lol.

Mayhew didn't mess up. He got us talent with the restructures and held strong on not overpaying. Then he got Ngata when Suh got overpaid.

where are u hearing this?

ngata has stated hed be open to an extention...mayhew taking forever per usual

the tampering story has been everywhere....mia leaked contract details prior to free agency opening....that's a nono. 1st rounder is being optimistic but if the nfl decides to come down on those teams that tampered it could easily be a 1st rounder.

the 3rd round pick is an assumed comp pick next year due to the loss of suh and fairley and the only person we signed this year is a back up dt from NO.

where are u getting that detroit coiuld get a pick from MIami over this?

There is some precedent. Normally the "fine" for tampering is a lost pick in the 5th-7th round range (basically no fine at all). In the case of Lance Briggs, the league also forced the 49ers to swap 3rd round picks with Chicago (a net gain of only 5 picks, admittedly).

So while no pick that high has ever changed hands over tampering (and even then only in a swap) it has set the precedent that the league can both dock picks AND force transfer of picks. Based on history, there's almost no chance the Lions get a truly free pick. At best, I could see the league forcing Miami to swap it's first rounder (14th) with ours (23rd). Even that is highly optimistic.

the penalty hasn't been that bad in the past....but there are reports the nfl will crack down harder this year....which they should. the lions can sue the fuck out of Miami lol.

That's probably why Suh came out and said his intention was always to resign with Detroit.
