With JoePa out at Penn State and a big black spot on his reputation, who is the most respected Head Coach in NCAA Football?

Mac brown?

I was thinking him as well, possibly even stoops. Spurrier is still there, but I don't know how much respect he really has.

Interesting question here. There really isn't that standout respected coach now. In time, I feel like Hoke can fill that void!

Its hard these days. Seems like every good coach is dirty.

If he has down everything clean, id say nick saban too

Snyder has done some iffy things in terms of academics and JUCO kids ....and Mack Brown has rubbed some folks the wrong way. Nick Saban is prety much a dick and Les Miles is crazy. Spurrier is that guy getting more respect now than he did while winning at Florida and none of the other recently successful HC's aren't established enough ... Oregon, Auburn, Stanford.

What about Frank Beamer?

What about when Urban Meyer starts coaching again (OSU?). Haven't heard much back talk about him...

I've always liked Spurrier's style of offense.. Sure it's changed since Lattimore but you would have to be an idiot not to adjust.

Beamer was another that came to mind.

As for meyer, 30 kids arrested in 6yrs is insane. Not a lot of respect from me

the most deserving guy is probably some humble coach at a smaller school.

so... we've never heard of him.

what about the App St. guy? he'd been there for a long time when they played us.

Maybe not as much on a national stage but Kirk Farentz?

He has done a pretty commendable job of not allowing the convicts on his team to murder anyone in Iowa City.
