thumb is an intriguing character...
I get the impression the MI Thumb is an attorney; or works in the legal system in some capacity...

Get Startedthumb is an intriguing character...
Listening to someone from Clarkston, MI bag on someone from the "Thumb" is like .... well,
well it seems like most of the racist, Tea Party dipshits of the Metro Detroit region live in an arc running from Highland, NW through Clarkston to Lake Orion.
although, there are also some real loonies when you get on the rural outskirts of Ann Arbor, like in Dexter
not sure what's going on with Troy, MI; seems like they elected a Sarah Palin clone mayor. I guess you could add Troy to the mix too.

Now...this is something....
The King of Clarkston implying that someone else is a hick!!!

Nothing new to see here, same stupid generalizations that mean next to nothing. Baiting is beneath you champ.
so KAWDUP, which of those cities do you live in? Highland? Waterford? Clarkston? Lake Orion? Troy?
:ugh:
Hick??? he lives in a rural area...maybe a forest somewhere. Hick? not sure what that is.
I admire the guy.....rides miles to the nearest library to get "hooked up"
Well I'm actually a transplant. I grew up [till 15] in St. Clair Shores between 8 and 9 mile, near I-94. Before that I lived in Grosse Pointe buy I was too young to remember.
We moved out to the thumb because we started raising horses, and I have no problem with driving 8 miles to the nearest gas station, I get to watch the deer and turkeys on my property, shoot my guns or play my stereo loud whenever I want, and hell, even got the indoor plumbing now!
But don't you fret none smitty, me and the soybeans, (and the corn, and the sugar beets, and the wheat, and the hay) got plenty to do.
My only regret is we don't have Kid Rock to do it with.
...play my stereo loud whenever I want ...
do you blast gangsta rap? I would, just to appreciate the juxtaposition of urban music in a rural setting.
"Is that farmer blasting Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic'??? WTF is his deal???"
dont let thumber fool ya...he has all the Kid Rock CD's
well, it generally wouldn't fool me to learn that rural white folks in Michigan listen to GOD AWFUL music.
...but I hope Thumb is different.
I actually don't have many CD's anymore.
I used to have a couple hundred, but when I got divorced it was not worth arguing over who bought the Tom Petty CD's, so I said fuck it, because by then I had learned of MP3s and Napster/Limewire.
I usually just listen to WRIF, when there is not a Tiger game on. or my iPod if I'm mowing the grass [I cut about 3 acres, damn hick] and I have a pretty wide mix of classic rock, early metal, and pre-pop stuff like the Beatles.
