Det. FM radio was stale 30 years ago. Don't forget J.J., Sky King, Steve Dahl and Howard Stern.

WWWW went country in 1980 when Stern was there and he left, but Chuck Santoni stayed.

Dave Fogle (Fogel?) who was 96.3 FM's "Fogel On the Radio" in the 90s, and is now a DJ here in Chicago on 94.7 in the mornings.

I turned on the radio last year, and was like "That's a familiar voice..."

so KAWDUP, which of those cities do you live in? Highland? Waterford? Clarkston? Lake Orion? Troy?

:ugh:

Farmington Hills. Moved from Saline about 5 years ago. You think that is why I called you out?

Those kinds of folks you describe live all over the place - not even close to the "arc" you describe. I realize you want to go the extra mile to root out all the inferior types from all these areas, but making the general statements about those areas, from which I doubt you know even a small percentage that live there, is just plain wrong. All I can do is shake my head, and wonder how you can even think you are one of the enlightened ones and then preach to us lowly Christians about all the inferiors that are out there.

Anyway, sorry about the possible re-hijacking of this thread. The direction it went was much better.

Loved WRIF and Dick the Bruiser. Pendhallow's BABY!!!! was truly classic, as was the WRIF Joey bag of donuts commercials. Remember those?

The only people I know from Saline are my cousins, and they're card carrying members of the DNC.

Arthur Penthollow was in a really good HBO movie called The Upside of Anger with Kevin Costner and Joan Allen - did anybody else ever see that?

It's a movie with a baseball theme.

Kostner plays a baseball player, a former major leaguer, who was a pitcher, and he pitched for the Detroit Tigers.

The setting is the Detroit 'burbs, and there were some scenes from Ann Arbor too.

The role was kind of a stretch for Kostner but he managed to pull it off OK.

Oh, so he had had practice; no wonder he was so good.

Still, with only that one movie with a baseball theme before, For The Love Of The Game, he pulled off being in a baseball movie well.

Bull Durham and Field Of Dreams also.....

I guess when you label a party racists, you can't very well show minorities speaking on behalf of the GOP......

Instead, they cut to their panel.....to rag on the party.....for being racists...LOL...gotta luv em

Fox not even showing the DNC tonight......:lmao:
