My bold prediction for 2019

Bridges, Jackson and Ward stay because they want to win a Championship.

Likely outcome would be something like they finish top 3 in B1G because of the tougher conference schedule next year, possibly make the finals of BTT if they don't face uofm along the way, get a 2 or 3 seed and make the Sweet 16 or possibly final 8 - mostly because Nairn is gone, Carter loses his bid for a 7th year and 2 of the 4 incoming forwards are good enough to play ahead of Goins, getting those Jackson and Ward minutes that would have gone to Goins as Izzo continues to teach with the bench.

a more likely possibility is all 3 leave and the rest of my previous prediction becomes the ceiling.

Maybe 1 stays and 2 leave or 2 stay and one leaves.. Lots of possibilities.

I hope you're right, just for the fact that I hate seeing kids leave early from any school.

My bold prediction is Ward transfers, jackson and bridges leave.

Winston
McQuaid?
Langford
Goins?
Tillman

Probably another second round exit. Yippee.

All I know is do not bet against Tom adjusting and figuring it out.

Fo' rills.

And don't bet against it either.

I'm only gonna say this the once: Guy is a credit to the State of Michigan.

Nope, this group had their chance and they just didn't have the killer instinct to get it done. Bridges should go pro, JJJ could return, but why would he.

We have a good team returning next year and a good class to add to it, let's see what the next crop can do.

IMO, you build this team around Xavier Tillman next year, he's a Draymond Green type talent.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw Tillman play once in HS and he was man among boys. I agree build around him.

if they both go and Ward stays, we'll be good next year but potentially REALLY good in two years assuming Tillman and the incoming kids develop. We need a consistent 3 point threat though - Langford and McQuaid are too streaky.

I think Winston needs to be the focus as you develop Tillman. When he's a junior and Winston and Ward are seniors (if Ward stays), they could be like the 2000 team - in the sense that they're not a bunch of elite recruits but rather a group of hard working, tough kids playing for each other.

Oh.

I have a bold prediction for 2019 too.

I'm going to finally nail Jen Anniston and Courtney Cox together.

Although it's also possible that won't happen.

you must have some pretty long nails - bolts would probably work better although I'm not sure why you'd want to do either or why you would pre-confess to it on an internet chat board.

see, you've started a conversation.

There's nothing wrong with a reality check on a bold prediction - but isn't it just kind of redundant?

Isn't the lack of likeliness of a bold prediction what makes a bold prediction a bold prediction in the first place?

Also "nail" is a crude colloquialism for sex. It probably won't happen though.

Not really - as mitch pointed out there are lot's of different outcomes, if the consensus was that two of the three would stay then my prediction isn't so bold. Pointing out what I think is the consensus emphasizes the boldness of my prediction.

Yes, the lower the probability, the bolder the prediction.

I know, I thought reading and responding literally was pretty clever. And I agree, it is indeed a bold prediction which is perhaps even less likely to happen than Bridges, JJJ and Ward staying at MSU. Obviously they're not mutually exclusive and I'm pulling for you, but if only one or our predictions comes true, I hope it's mine.
