Last year, my guy before the combine was Jimmy Smith. This year, I'm throwing my support behind CHASE MINNIFIELD. 6'0 CB out of Virginia. I watched him in two different games and the one thing I noticed is that his name was never mentioned and the occasional time it was he had a good tackle in run support or broke up a pass. When I checked walterfootball, I thought he'd be a 2nd round pick, but it looks like they have him as a first round. I like Dennard and Jenkins, but I would take Minnifield over both of them.
He, unlike our current CBs, can be physical with receivers and actually win the battle. I think he's exactly what this team needs. Also doesn't hurt that he's a high character kid.
Of course, shit can change. There's always a few guys in the combine, senior bowl, and pro days that sneak up on us. But, for now, this is my guy for the draft.
