so we play in the final football game prior to bowl season with a record setting tv audience

we also play in the final conference tourney game right before the selection show

we win titles in both games

pretty good for the brand

You think Jabari Parker is kicking himself right about now?

I try not to think about it, it's depressing. could you imagine how good that team would be? i was saying 2009 UNC good

as for Parker, I'm sure he's focused at Duke and happy there, having a great year and he's going to be a top pick. He might feel differently in 3 weeks.

Appling, Harris, Parker, Dawson, Payne. Denzel, Trice, Kaminski, Costello, Gauna, Schilling/Ellis coming off the bench.

Yup, looks even better now than a year ago.

At least he didn't end up at Kansas.

I'm kidding of course. Parker is having a great year and dook is good enough beat anyone in the field on the right night.

it's not often that you have an elite player eliminate the cheaters early in the process

If Jabari would have come here he would have just gotten injured anyway.

We moved up 11 spots in the final regular season polls. It was a maqruee game and a marquee win. So was the Wisky win.

That was arguably the biggest game that UofM and MSU ever played against each other in basketball. 1st time we've ever met in the post season and the BTT title was on the line. More than that a #1 seed was on the line for Michigan, a better seed and region for MSU. But this was all about a fully healthy MSU team seeing where they stood vs the team that had won the regular season title.

As far as Jabari, I do think it would be great beating them head to head just for a "too bad you could have won a NC with us but you picked a weaker team" If we were his "dream school" I still dont understand going to Duke especially since its further, has no intention of finishing for a degree and we wouldve have been the favorite to win it by a long shot.

Last year was big too, first time we were both top 5

Our seed and Louisvilles still seems bizzare. It showed "MSU 4 on Selection Sunday" and I thought they gave us somewhat of a makeup call by gracing us with a seemingly less difficult bracket than the others.

What is seeding for anyway? Is it in order of who's the most likely to win it all? Is it a reward for the best season? It doesn't make sense to downgrade teams with a significant injury but not upgrade teams who had significant injuries but recovered?

Lots of contradictory seeds, like uva and Louisville

WSU got the raw deal also with the committee basically implying "if your road here was a cake walk, lets see you handle this".

Barkley called that a conspiracy, I wouldn't go that far but it's a gauntlet of a draw. Kentucky, then Kansas, then Michigan or Duke

Kansas is in Florida's bracket... but it's still a really tough draw
