Next GM and Head Coach

Probably just BS speculation, I read somewhere that the Sirianni hire was mainly to fix Wentz. Wentz had his best years under Reich and they?re trying to re-create that with Reich?s underling.

Makes sense. That ruins my theory though that Wentz gets traded to Indy.

Report: Lions hire Aubrey Pleasant as secondary coach/passing game coordinator.

Both? Is that defensive passing game coordinator?

It is very poorly worded, but thats how I would take it. From rotoworld

Lions hired Rams CBs coach Aubrey Pleasant as DBs coach/pass-game coordinator.
New Lions coach Dan Campbell is assembling a strong, yet unproven, young coaching staff. Pleasant coached the Rams CBs for four seasons under DCs Wade Phillips and Brandon Staley after coming over from Washington where he was a quality control coach. Pleasant had received DC interest in years past, and this is the highest he's been in the coaching ranks where he'll tag-team with first-time DC Aaron Glenn in Detroit. Anthony Lynn and Duce Staley are running the offense with Campbell. Pleasant and Glenn have coached a number of Pro Bowl defensive backs in New Orleans and L.A.

Report: Anthony Blevins candidate for Lions, Vikings special teams coordinator

I don't know why they don't rehire the guy Bevell canned. He worked miracles for us last season.

Report: Detroit Lions hire away Bears linebackers coach Mark DeLeone

Underneath its says "The Lions’ front office power structure is becoming clearer." Imo its a bit cloudy. At least it is now.

Yeah report to Wood not Sheila. Spielman involved. Holmes/Campbell/Dorsey all making personnel decisions. Disner the operations and cap guy. Very cloudy. But maybe cloudy will work

Great move. Great cap guy and contract negotiator

Notice hughes quiet now that they added John Dorsey too.

New staff forming nicely and front office. We'll see what they do and hopefully there isn't too many cooks in the kitchen and good delineation of decision making

im actually happy with the staff. Defensive side of the ball is a little more unproven and obviously has less talent to work with. Theres no question the front office has a ton of support. Generally thats how front offices are structured in todays NFL...were just not used to seeing it built that way here. But what weve done previous hasnt worked so im game for trying something new to ensure our drafts are better than they have been.

Lets be honest....our HC is a meat head....but if he galvanizes the locker room and can get the support from his coaching team around him to execute then the plan can work. In the end it will depend on getting talent on the field....we dont have alot of that right now.

Meat head or not...DC has done a nice job putting his staff together.

Agreed its a good staff. And I think DC knows the Xs and Os of football more than he lets on. He was talking specifics on things, which Patricia rarely did. Like Swift in the slot, attacking opponents weaknesses all day (ex if right end sucks, use your good LT and run right at them). It's a breath of fresh air ideas at least

Mark Brunell qb coach. Interesting

Has been just a high school coach since his playing days
