3-1 after 1st quarter of season, 1 game lead in division.

Next 4:
Buffalo (2-2)
@Minny (2-2)
NO (1-3)
@Atl (2-2)

At the start of the year, many were looking at NO and Atl as probable losses; however, neither team has been playing well. Can they pull themselves together between now and when they play the Lions, of course. Still, it seems they may be having off years.

It sure seems the Lions will be at worst 6-2 going into the Bye. Granted they have many seasons where they started out 5-3 or 6-2 only to have terrible second half of the season...but this year they have a legit chance to be 7-1.

Minnesota looks a little tougher now with Bridgewater. Bills beat Bears at home so don't sleep on that one.

Lions will have to earn every win.

This.

NFL is as competitive as I can remember it being. Seattle is better than everyone else, but they aren't unbeatable. There are no other great teams.......a number of good.....a few average....and a few below average.

N.O. looks like a pee wee team away from home.
Atl cant play defense.
Buffalo is a carbon copy of the Jets. They have weapons, but nobody to get them the ball.
Minnesota can easily be beaten, but can obviously play well at times.

No easy games this year.....but there are zero games on the Lions schedule that I think they can't win. (ok, im not sure about @ GB in January)

Lions so far have kind of gone according to script in terms of games they "should win" vs. games they "should lose" at least in my opinion. At some point they'll probably have at least one or two games where that script is reversed. We'll see if it happens in these next 4 games.

If the Lions are serious they need to take the next 2 in my opinion. You just can't afford to throw away games at home to a team like the Bills. That's what a Lions team of the past would have done (see late last year). The @Minnesota game concerns me a little more than I thought it would, but it's one of the few remaining "winnable" road games. The rest of them will all be tough. Don't know quite how to feel about NO and the Atlanta game in London. Walk away with a split of those two, and I won't complain.

Hoping for 3-1, but who knows? Any Given Sunday as they say.

I'm hoping for 3-1 as well but 2-2 wouldn't surprise me. This is the NFL, almost every game is tough.

I'm thinking Minny and Chicago will be fortunate to go 2-2 since they each have 3 road games. Green Bay has potential for 3-1 or even 4-0.

That means Lions will need to go 3-1 at a minimum to maintain lead in division. With the second half looking like Green Bay will have potential for 5-3 at worst, probable 6-2, we will see if the Lions new coaches can overcome the "Same Ol' Lions" collapse in second half of season and actually win the division.

BTW, after 4 weeks, Lions are the current #2 seed in the NFC...behind Arizona who had their BYE.

I really hope we can rip apart Gym Shorts' defense. I think we should be able to.
Saints whether outside or in a dome are simply not the same team on the road.
Atlanta's pass rush is simply non-existent, we should handle them. (Obviously weather may be a factor in that game. We shall see.
The Minny game will be tough. Division games always are, no matter how crappy or good one of the teams are.

The big question in these four is if the defense can keep up this level of play or if the injuries will start to take their toll. 4-0 is not out of the question, but I'll be ecstatic with 3-1.

Buf like their defense and love spiller and watkins....but you lose alot of games when you have a bad qb.

Bridgewater sprained ankle might keep him out a couple weeks...dunno who their 3rd qb is.

Atl and no will be our first tests against out of division upper echelon qbs. I had atl as a w before tge season...but I think I have both these games as losses now.

5-3 at the break.

Ponder is still in Minnesota. Manuel they need to pick a couple times to make it easier for our offense.

Please explain what you have seen from ATL to change that game to a loss

If Waddle doesn't come back in time for the Bills game, I don't see Stafford finishing the game.
