Next time you have a game on a ship

i was surprised it was still on when i got home from our game as i stuck around a good 30 minutes after our game was over

Not just talking about the beginning. They had stops in the middle, the longest halftime I can remember, it just seemed to drag on way too long.

You're right, it did seem drawn out. Gotta have time for all the sponsors I guess.

Don't have it last 90000 hours. Holy crap.

probably needed extra time to go on and on with all that pathetic military glorification and worship nonsense.*

*this does not extend to the troops/sailors/marines that develop anti-war views while deployed, or worse, come back and join OWS. They deserve to be quietly ignored until they go away, and/or beaten senseless and savagely assaulted by law enforcement if they start to rouse the rabble.

It was more of a Veteran's Day celebration than a basketball game.

Plus a "power of the incumbancy" campaign event for the Commander in Chief (every commander on chief loves this shit - and why the fuck wouldn't they? I would, if I were the commander in chief).

Uncalled for.

Not only that but your chronology of events is disjointed. The beating to senselessness would logically occur after the initiation of the savage assault, not before. Therefore rather than "beaten senseless and savagely assaulted" it should be "savagely assaulted and beaten senseless."

I don't know if there was as much merchandise sales from today's game...but maybe there was!

I would love to get me one of them Air Force 1 on the right front and (Your Name Above) Commander in Chief on the left front jackets like the one that Obama guy was wearing when he came aboard.

Does MSU have an equivalent of the M Den? Maybe I could get buy one on line....

what? I wanted to explain why it had to be so long. I know dubbs sometimes gets confused, so I included all the facts.

There are several reasons that it ran over. Coverage began at 7, even though, you had to know that the game would not start at 7. They had to introduce the team, the president, the special guests, etc etc etc. Then they had to stop play at sundown, since every single ship in the Navy has a ceremony that they perform at sundown and they weren't going to not do it, because of this game. I didn't just sit down and watch the whole thing, but I had it on and paid attention every now and then. I didn't think it was bad. I thought it was pretty damn cool and I wish Michigan had been one of those 2 teams out there.

It was a cool event, I just felt it dragged on a bit too much.
