NFL Sets Cap At 120.6 Lions Still Over

Someone is getting their money moved again. Maybe Suh this time. Either that or someone gets cut, but idk who that'd be since Mayhew said Williams is staying.

shoulda let avril walk. Cutting Peterman cost us anything this year?? Cut CW. Let Wright walk. That woulda saved 20+ mil and allowed us to focus on the guys we need to resign....tulloch and Backus.

Restructuring isn't going to fix things forever. Eventually we are going to need to eat the cap hit from paying two top 2 picks in the old system and years of having to overpaying bad players just because they were the best we had. It's easy to look at CJ, Stafford, and Suh and think they should restructure or take less. But those guys are worth every penny. It's giving out muliyear contract to scrubs like Raiola and Peterman. It's having to overpay free agents like Vanden Bosch and Burleson. It's taking on bad contracts just to get some talent, like Corey Williams.

You can't fix 50 years of ineptitude in 3 offseasons, no matter how good we were last year. We have talent now, but we still have to fix the money.

alot of the cap hit on Stafford is in his last year now....he is never going to see that , they'll restructure him before that....most likely next year if he has another good and healthy 2012.

Someone mentioned it on another thread, its a revolving door. Just keep restructuring. From one year to the next to the one after that. It'll work itself out.

Stafford already got it. The SB is paid in full at the time of the signing. The team just gets to amortize it over the remainder of the contract making it more cap friendly.
