Dude whats your problem? Mean spirited .. Give me a break touchy :/
First I could care less what a right wing funded organization writes. Especially one from any of the Koch brothers. I asked how many are getting it? Give me a number ? You two are something... Two peas in a pod.
Plus I have a policy to dismiss anything Tsmith writes and will do so until he makes good on the bet he made..
When I saw it was a Koch Brothers funded institute I just stopped reading it.. They bother have a political agenda.. corporation are not people. I have no problems with any of the programs. I would pay higher taxes for national health so everyone is covered and can get healthcare. There may be some people trying to get over on the system but I am sure its a small percent.. Hire more people and catch them and prosecute them. But then our Jails are awful crowded as we speak..
I don't have a problem Bob, I was just pointing out that you were being disrespectful because you were admonishing me in the other thread for being disrespectful to other posters. If you don't recall, here:
You are are always disrespecting posters.. Nothing new there...
As for your request for a number, if you think it's immaterial, how about you produce a number that proves it? I clearly demonstrated that collecting welfare is very competitive with compensation rates for low skill jobs. Do you think residents of Baltimore would actually prefer to work full time for the same value or less? is it so hard to see that even if welfare benefits were slightly lower than the compensation one would earn working full time that they would rationally choose to collect welfare? Think about - take the example a step further and say they can only get HALF of the maximum. That's roughly $9/hr - roughly the minimum wage in Baltimore. Now let's say you're that single mom of 2. Would you go work or take the same value in benefits? If you don't have family to watch your kids for free, you have to pay for daycare or hire a babysitter for 40 hrs plus your commuting time. So now, even at half the maximum benefits for a single mom of 2, welfare looks a whole lot better than working. Don't you think? Or do you need to see more numbers?
