Tired of rehashing all of the DT stuff.

Now that the Lions have money to spend, who should they go after at positions other than on the DL?

Positions needing addressed (IMO this is order of most need) are:

OG
OT
CB
RB
TE

Hopefully they get the OL squared away finally.

Returner, either in FA or through the draft. Can't take one more year of Ross.

Need both a starting quality CB and depth. Mathis is nearing the end of his career, and you can't have a guy like Cassius Vaughn playing in important games. Too many unknowns coming back from injury.

S is fine, maybe better multi-role depth guys

Might be worth looking for a starting quality DE opposite Ziggy... Depth is already there.

Need anything they can get on the O-line, starters, depth, everything. Warford and Reiff are the only guarantees at this point. Don't count out C either, not 100% confident Swanson is ready.

RB and DT are obvious

Clint Boling or Stephen Wisniewski would be great pickups. I think OT we'll have to draft if we really want an upgrade.

I hope the team can make a play for a solid #2 CB in free agency, then draft another depth DB (I think we can be set at nickel/slot CB if health improves).

I'd love to see us sign Bulaga.

We need a RT and it takes a good one away from a rival.

Anyone interested in Jake Long now that the Rams released him? Injuries are an obvious concern, but many of the FA guys have some injury history. Maybe get one in the draft as well, someone Jake can help coach up in case he does go down with an injury.

Injuries concern me precisely because, when healthy, we already have a solid RT on the cheap. Bulaga and Long could be really good, but I don't know if we could expect either to stay healthy (and that significantly lowers how much we should offer). I guess because we still have Waddle on-board, we could take a chance on someone with injury history knowing we have a solid backup no matter who wins the job.

Long may have to take another short term show-me contract, which would be ideal. He was really good before his latest injury, but who knows if he can really keep that up (he was pretty bad during the two years prior).
