Most called for only 8 or 9 wins this year...some of us, like myself, tried to explain these are not the Same Ol' Lions and would get at least 10 wins and get into the playoffs this year.

Not saying they are going to win the Super Bowl this year...but it is going to happen very SUHN!!!

Beautiful win today, and while there was definitely some chippy play, even after the whistle...NO penalties for BS stuff so it sure seems they got Schwartz's message and are much more focused these days!

With the Pack likely to rest their starters next week, this could be an 11-5 season, which would surpass all expectation for me, and even my wildest hopes!

The Roar Has Been Restored!

I can't find where I said 9 or 10 wins unfortunately. It all rested on Stafford.

I said 10-6 but I am not sure I really believed it lol. I have had a huge smile since the game. It's just been a great year to be a sports fan in Michigan this year. All teams except for the damn Pistons had a great year.

I went 7-9 hoping I'd be wrong. I thought Staff would be good but not this good. And those comebacks. ;-)

very true on all counts. they would have been 6-9 right now without such resilience. one more reason why these guys are unlike previous teams that would have given up instead of fighting back!!!

I thought 9-7 was possible. Never would have thought they would have made it to 10, much less even have a shot at eleven. And they finally put a complete game together. Shit was scary son!!!!!!!!!!!

Before the Lions lost Leshoure prior to the start of the pre-season, I figured 8-8 or maybe even 10-6 IF he became a mitigating factor as a rusher during certain games when Stafford and his receivers were not very successful passing/catching the football and esp.IF he had managed several 100+ rushing yards in some of them.

But after Mikel was lost for the season, (if not for good), then I guessed that the Lions might again go 6-10 or-perhaps at Best 8-8 if he had a much better season after his turf-toe plagued debut as a rookie last year. Their second half schedule looked very daunting. I would never have guessed that out of all ex-Lions players, that Kevin Smith would ever return to play as a Detroit Lion, in fact I would have been more inclined to believe that there was (albeit very, very remote) chance that Roy Williams would return to play for the team before Smith would...haha!!
