[quote:laetoin4]When Odoms was asked after the game about his big touchdown catch, it was revealed he and Robinson -- who was sitting to Odoms' left -- held a race last year.
The winner?
"Yeah, what happened?

I've been curious as to why Odoms has been out. I'm wondering if there was some academic issue or something earlier in the year that prevented him from playing in games because all of a sudden in the past couple of weeks he's been a huge player in the games. Seems odd that he would just pop up like that if he really was beat out for his spot and it wasn't something else.

...and the cast on his arm prevented him from doing his homework, causing the academic issues, which is why he didn't play much early on.

Right M&B09?

So if the cast was going to come off in two weeks on Aug 11th of this year that would mean around Aug 25th, a week before the first game, Odoms got the cast off. That still doesn't explain why he had little, if any, playing time until the last few weeks.

With the way Hoke is with injuries who the hell knows.

yeah, that's why it's so mysterious. But he's also that way with other things like Mrob - we thought he was just injured for like 5 weeks then it comes out that he stole something in a dorm room. That's why the Odoms thing is curious. He had a cast removed before the season so it didn't look like it was going to impact anything.

He didn't actually see the field until SDSU and that was only for a snap. Then he saw the field again for MSU - again, only a snap. He didn't have a recorded catch until 9 weeks into the season, Iowa, and now he seems to be all over the place. He didn't play in 6 games and only saw the field, with no stats, in 8 of them. Just extremely odd.

cast might have come iff but full use if arm may have been limited

hoke doesnt was a receiver who has to catch ir carry acball with limited arm which could result with ball on ground

he has been praising odoms -felt twice in iowa game he was a block away from going down field

i do not think it does good to speculate overall on things we are not in the know about

If we do not speculate about things - we wouldn't have much to talk about. There is something odd about Odoms' situation that we don't know about.

meanwhile hoke praises him when he playshe
ay have had some offfield issues and working his way back into full grace

hoke wven praised him todsy about that catcg saying he caught it exactly tge way and pkace he needed to

I'm surprised all of you UM faithful don't remember this situation with Robinson and Odoms.

Back during the RR days during spring training Odoms claimed he beat Denard in a race during practice. He (Odoms) admitted he had taken Denard by surprise at the start of the race and ended up finishing ahead of Denard. It's been an on going joke since.

odoms tweet 53 days ago to brandon graham was about just getting back from injury

that was about time of sdsu game

I must have missed that. Thanks.
