Tigers have really falling down here. Batting average is now 6th with a .266 average thanks you Inge, Raburn, and really Boesch has been down a well.
Tigers are 9th in the Homerun stat with 13 for an average of 1 in 33.6 ABs. Alarm 14 in DOUBLES trailing with 18 TWO(2) behind Toronto. Total hits 9th with 114, not good. *th in Runs scored with 61 that has been a real concern since scoring 26 in the Bosox series. That 's 35 runs in the Tampa (3games), Chisox (3games),Kansas City(3games), Now Texas (2 games) series 35 in 11 games = 3.1 runs a game. Not going to win many games against Texas that way!
Tigers are also 9th in getting walks with 37, however they are tied with Texas. But then again Texas is too busy getting hits to mess around with walks as Texas leads the Al with an .306 average! Could be a reason why Texas is beating the Tigers so far!
Does the news get any better? well no Stolen bases Tigers tied with 4 with Bosox and Tampa for 12th place.
Well there is one silver lineing Tigers are tied for 2nd in Triples with 3,with KC and Seattle, trouble with that is just about everone else has 2, so that not a great statright now.
What this all adding up to is the Tigers are a bad team in a real bad Division. Yea they should win it but don't look at the playoffs as something to look forward to, unless some big changes happen like the batters need to start hitting, namely Boesch, Santiago, Raburn, Inge. to start with as one of the last three has to play second ever day!
Young, Avila, and Peralta have 3 Homeruns between them in 132 ABs= 44 ABs per player! Which is not to far of the Tigers team average of 1 per 33 ABs. But there in lies the real problem. Tigers bats are keeping up with Texas!
