You know... insinuating that the members of an entire ethnic group are not intelligent is probably not the sort of thing you want the president of your university doing. Unless you're basically an athletic department with an overgrown community college tacked on to it. then it really doesn't matter, and may even play well with the degenerates who make up your alumni/donor base:<blockquote>[i:bdws05sf]Addressing a downtown athletic club Wednesday in Columbus, OSU president Gordon Gee tried to paint a word picture of what it

sounds like an old "pollock joke". Really never understood why my dad ever thought they were funny, but I do know they were embarrassing when he said them in front of my friends. It seems a lot of my dad's generation had an infatuation with pollock jokes. I'm assuming this is what gee was doing?

Sounds more like an Italian Naval joke than a typical Polish joke.

These two Polish cops pull this guy over for speeding in Hamtramck, and the one Polish cop asks the other how to spell Hamtramck.

"I don't know. Let's let him go, and pull him over again when he gets to Detroit."

So your Dad ever tell ya that one, Monster?

i'm not sure. all i remember is they were really stupid and my dad always thought they would make everyone laugh, but they never did.

Ooh SahSahSah,
Ooh SahSahSah,

Hit 'em in the head with a big kielbasa!

Don't worry, he'll issue some inane apology and say that his statement was taken out of context.

All he meant by that is that osu is no Little Sisters of the Poor.

he's just lucky the ohio contingent of the "League of Polish Army Veterans" was not in attendance that night.

I read it first thing in the morning...and actually had to read it again to believe it and see it was a real article. As a 3/4 Pollack.....I was ONLY offended that it was HIM trying to be funny....what a tool.

And btw.....Poland actually has a decent war record.....they're like 7-2....just one "bad" loss to Germany.....I think Lunardi might give them an 11 seed.

Got that right, they'd of whipped out their guns, take aim at him, and end up shooting each other. ;P

Gee should have been gone by now. How long is ohio going to allow this clown to continue? Ohio just keeps embarrassing itself.

I think that the Polish army held off the Germans for six weeks should be considered a win, since it was Panzers vs. Ponies.

Plus it probably would have been more than 6 weeks if the Russians hadn't also invaded from the east...

not much Poland could do in that situation.

I don't know where Damfram got the 7-2 from. Prior to 1918, Poland hadn't existed as a sovereign nation for something like 200 years. Is he counting like Medieval battles or something?

Those count, as do football games before the AP started voting for national champions.

...or should I say, "as do Michigan's Big Ten wins before they left and came back to the Big Ten."

for the record, I am nearly half-Polish (the remainder of that half being German), so if I wanted to make polish jokes, I could, but the only ones I ever thought were funny were the one about the one-armed guy in the tree, and the one about sinking a polish submarine.
