Orlando 119 Detroit 112 Final

I didn't realize that Hayes has been playing since the beginning of April. Looking at his stats...he sucks so far.

I think Hayes will be fine. I am worried about Dumbaya. Bey and Stewart look ok. Team needs a top 3 pick.

I know that sometimes it takes time for players to develop in the NBA. I just didn't get the Hayes pick. I don't like him.

Doumbouya is a project. I'm sure he will play out his contract here and go somewhere else and flourish. He did have 20 last night.

Bey is hit or miss. I don't know if he is a good defender. When he is hitting his threes he is an asset. When he isn't (2-10 vs Hornets) he sucks.

Stewart seems like he could end up being a decent role player.

This is a deep young roster with no stars on it. Probably not even a player with star potential. With some luck in the draft and off season and some player development, I think they will compete for the 8 seed next year. They need to get REALLY lucky in the draft over the next few years in order to even sniff the top seeds in the east. I doubt they ever contend for a championship until they change the salary cap or the free agent rules. No superstars are ever going to willingly come to Detroit.
