Orton back to Bears?

that was my first thought. kyle must have complained that he needed the chance to go somewhere else as soon as the cutler injury came up.

30th on the waiver wire.....be interesting to see if someone else claims him.

the only teams i can really see going after him are the deadskins, dolphins, or the seahawks. out of those three the phins are the most likely, but matt moore has played pretty well.

Hopefully there is some tampering charges to come from the Bears talking to him while he was under contract :)

who said the Bears contacted him ?? I never read that.

Orton wasn't even there under Martz...so the offense is not even close to what Orton ran as a Bear.

timing raises flags...why?

teams in the AFC South could be asking the same question....Houston needs a QB to.

and why pay a guy another 1.3 million to sit on your bench...teams need QBs right now...smart financial move for the Broncos.

The Bears are in the 30th waiver position for Kyle Orton this week.
The Texans have a higher spot because their 7-3 record has come against an easier schedule. Though Orton had made it known earlier in the year that he didn't want to leave the Denver area, the Denver Post notes that his agent started talks with the Bears once Jay Cutler went down with a thumb injury. Chicago is the one team Orton does want to join. With just $1.58 million remaining on his salary, though, another team could step in front of the Bears -- if Chicago is even interested.

Says his agent started talks with them. I think it has to be the other way around for tampering, unless they responded. If his agent just reached out, they should be fine

The Denver Broncos waived quarterback Kyle Orton, team executive vice president John Elway announced today, ending his run with the team.

Orton and his agent David Dunn had started talking to Broncos officials about the move after it was learned Chicago Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler suffered a broken thumb on his right passing thumb Sunday that will likely sideline him for the rest of the season.

Kansas city could go after him... they still got a shot at their weak ass division

let him go back to Chicago..will take him at least a week or 2 to pick up Martzs offense , and it's all about timing and reads with the WRs and both have to be on the same page.

we all know we saw that clusterfuck first hand here in Detroit.

Bears are better off with Hanie.

Yeah, I think the Bronco's WANT Chicago or anyone else to take him so they can save some money. They won't be complaining regardless.

Ah, nobody said there was, I am just praying there is.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Texans have no interest in claiming QB Kyle Orton on waivers.
This is hardly a surprise. The Texans are confident in Matt Leinart, who has been in Gary Kubiak's offense for two years. Any QB they sign will be a third-stringer behind Leinart and T.J. Yates. The Chicago Tribune and Fox Sports' Jay Glazer both report the Bears do indeed plan to put in a claim for Orton, though he's expected to back up Caleb Hanie if awarded to Chicago.

bunch of people need a QB ( Kansas City?)

gotta believe that he wont make it to Chicago

Chiefs or Dolphins also are rumored to be interested. We will see tomorrow. Bears lose ATLEAST 3 of 6 if they throw Orton in there....im for it.

Kyle Orton - QB - Broncos

The Chiefs are considering submitting a waiver claim on Kyle Orton, a source tells NFL.com's Steve Wyche.
Although the Chiefs are only two games out of first place in the AFC West, they aren't realistic threats to win the division. But if they stick with Tyler Palko at quarterback, they might not win another game all year. The addition of Orton would be a major boost to Dwayne Bowe and the entire passing game. The Chiefs are ahead of the Bears and behind the Colts in the waiver process.

Palko looked good early in that game. The INT he threw killed the mojo he and Chiefs had. At least he looked the part.
