I can't figure out who has the most greed, the owners or the players. They should all get real jobs for a year and then try again. I bet after doing actual work, that extra 1% won't be such a big deal.

Why? There's always playoff hockey - ten times better than anything that happens in the NBA. Sportscenter is sooooo much better now that it's basically all football and we don't have to watch guys dunking a ball into a hoop a million times in an hour show.

Amen! Same Shit day after day, no real team play just a bunch of guys showing off. Very few NBA players play as a team, plus we will get to see lots of college basketball. You know the guys who really want to play!

the owners. the owners are the ones setting ticket prices, extortion level concessions, marketing uniforms, t-shirts, trinkets, etc.

do you understand what the markup is on a 20 oz. cup of beer selling for $8.00? It's insane.

I agree with him. some people like hockey, some don't. I don't.

the best thing that could happen would be for this lockout to force David Stern out, the league to bring in a new commish who could return the sport to its glory days... basically, the 1980s. maybe minus the short shorts.

Agreed. The shocking thing is how the NBA season lasts two months longer than the NHL's which actually has fewer breaks during both the regular season and playoffs.

ESPN is so pathetic -- what an agenda. Completely mocking the players and insulting anything they're saying, siding with the owners because ESPN is the official mouthpiece and marketing partner of the league.
