OT: NW recruit ineligible for senior HS year

Obviously this is the right thing to do. We have to punish these kids who are overachievers and excelling in their schoolwork. Northwestern should probably pull his scholarship and find a way to deport him and force him into a Siberian work camp.

How dare this young man try and learn too much information too soon. And compete at a level that attracts the attention of D1 college programs known for their academics. This must stop.

Well look what happened last time they had too many smart players in one place: they tried to unionize and fight for their piece of the pie.

What millionaire AD or football coach wants to have to deal with that headache?

instead of spending their free time golfing or at the spa, they have to go talk to lawyers and sit in courtrooms, and it's boring and yet still exhausting at the end of the day.

Players gotta be smart, sure, and learn the playbook. But not too smart.

The other professional players' unions were slow in starting and people paid the price for initiating them. I suspect that the same thing will happen with college athletes.
