In further moves under the new British austerity planning, which has already significantly curtailed public funding for the Royals, Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton, the new Dutchess of Cambridge, are also finding their public funding substantially lowered, primarily for travel expenditures.
The young couple will likely have to fall back on Ms. Middleton's extensive family fortune to bridge the gap.
In true majestic character, the Prince took the news with a stiff upper lip.
"I'm just lucky I married well," quipped the smiling Prince.
