A league source tells The Sideline View's Lance Zierlein that Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson could fall out of the first round.
NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah is hearing the same thing. At 6-foot-2, 216 pounds with 4.42 wheels, Patterson is a freak athlete, but very raw as a route runner. He's also been nicked for his tendency to "body catch," though he didn't struggle with drops in college. If Patterson falls to day two, he could end up one of the steals of the draft.

This kid would be the ideal pairing with Calvin on the outside and I know he has visited already. If he falls to us at the beginning of round two, I think you have to scoop him up. I live in Tennessee and saw a lot of his games and the guy just makes defenders look absolutely silly with the ball in his hands.

If he's there he's a lock to us in round two. I can't see him falling that far despite this report.

catches against his body, and cant run routes. seems too early for a kr/pr. rather have his teammate hunter

I'd like to see a side by side comparison of this guy and Derrick Williams just for tits and shiggles.

Patterson is a stud. I'm a Nuk Hopkins fan too, that would be a tough choice. Nuk more polished route runner, Patterson better deep threat. The dude has great hands, just some dumb pre draft bs in that report.

Comparing Patterson to poor mans Julio Jones with huge upside but raw. The talent is there...no doubt.

Agreed, Patterson has very good hands. They nit-pick everything in the draft process. He is absolutely electric in open space and he should be a good red zone guy as well.

And I would rather not pick any more damn players with surgically repaired ACL's if we don't have to. (Hunter)

Fisher then patterson/hopkins. I cant argue against them being quality value picks. But we would hands down have the worst defense in the nfl lol.

Ronnell Lewis and the LKP sampler not doing it for ya?

here...ill throw this tidbit from mcshay out there just so i can see how he flips it into some positive garbage that doesnt make any sense lol:

Stats and Info: The Lions allowed a league-worst 86.2 Total QBR on passes outside the numbers last season, with 16 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Backup safeties didn't help that. Delmas and Quin will end that noise on the deep outside. Bentley being healthy should also help and Bartell did well. If the Lions need help on D, they need DE help not CB.

Dion Jordan
Kyle Long
Speed WR

You can never have enough Corners in today's game. Delmas is a china doll

Only problem I have with patterson is he is really reliant on man off coverage. He isnt very good against the press and will be even worse in the pros. He also wont go over the middle really reminds me of a poor mans keyshawn Johnson. Have heard to many guys elude to him being a pansy.

Please no. Stick with Burleson and Broyles in the Slot.

I guarantee Bush will be more than enough to push this offense back to the 10-6 season. The ingredient we were missing last year was a pass catching RB in the backfield with explosive potential, which was best the year before.
