Pelosi: Gingrich presidency "not going to happen"

That is just silly. Catholicism is not a state of mind or some culture you belong to. You can call yourself Catholic if you want, but I doubt very many would consider you a good Catholic if you act on all these things, and every one of them could say that without judging you at all. You are Catholic by your actions and beliefs. When actions say otherwise it isn't a judgement call any more.

. . . but you can use the inflammatory statements to get other posters' goats if you want. That is up to you, but it doesn't make you a good or bad anything.

It appears that I struck a nerve. Abortion and Catholicism are incompatible, no matter how inconvenient it happens to be. Pelosi claims she is a devout Catholic AND supports abortion. That is an impossibility. She is delusional. She can't have it both ways. It's the height of hypocrisy. And she's the topic of conversation here.

No nerve here buddy.

You got all pee-pee pants when you thought I called you a "Republican", then went on to try to validate your "traitor" statement.

Fact is, if I called you a Republican it would but just as if not more accurate than your "traitor" statement.

And for the record, she can have it both ways, this is America, not the Vatican.

You can probably count on 1 hand the number of " good Catholics" in the entire country.

If a Jew eats a Cheeseburger is he no longer Jewish?

And as far as inflammatory statements, we didn't bring up religion, something that has no place in politics in the first place.

No judgement taken...I totally agree im not a good catholic. most catholics arent good catholics. Kinda ruins you when you grow up in the church then when youre older you find out things like how corrupt the church is like how they stole from their clergy for hundreds of years claiming money would get you out of purgatory. then theres tge whole priests fuck kids thing...that kinda puts a damper on things lol. How many catholics have sex before marriage...raise your hand! Religion is dated....all of it.

jews can eat beef; you're thinking of pork products: ham, bacon, pork sausage, pig's feet. that's what they can't eat.

god punished them for building a golden calf to worship after it had only been like 6 minutes since he freed them from the Egyptians by declaring they couldn't eat bacon or ham - the tastiest meats - without immediately having a heart attack and dying.

No you're ignorant, MI Thumb is right a Jew can't eat a cheeseburger or he or she is a traitor to their faith.

A Jew can't mix meat and cheese in the same meal.

And a bacon cheeseburger is a straight ride to hell.

Not that there's Jewish agreement if there is a hell, or anything.

Burn her! How dare someone stand for what they personally believe is right and now bow down to religious doctrine like a good little servant?

Ah, Republicans, gotta love em.

Learn the facts about me and about her circumstances before you spout off mindlessly.

You should learn the facts about Smayshmouth MI thumb and I can help you he believes that Mary the Holy Mother of God never got laid not even once not even by her husband Yosef after as a Virgin she gave birth to the Saviour Christ Jesus.

Jews cant even have a glass of milk with meat, they cant use the same fridge or sinks or dishes for dairy and meat.

But Jews rarely practice that, I was just pointing out the pot calling the kettle black when smashmouth called Pelosi a hypocrite for claiming to be a Catholic and not agreeing 100% with the churches antiquated views.

And the golden calf has nothing to do with why they cant eat pork.

They can't eat an animal with a split hoof, that does not chew it's cud (ruminate).

The golden calf is why Edgar G. Robinson died when Moses Moses hit him in the head with 5 of the ten commandments.

And hitting Edgar G. Robinson in the head with 5 of the ten commandments is the reason why Moses Moses never was allowed into the promised land.

It's unclear which 5 of the 10 commandments Moses Moses hit Edgar G. Robinson in the head with.

Charlton Heston was Chuck Norris, before Chuck Norris was Chuck Norris.

Oh wow I just looked the clip up on youtube and Moses Moses didn't throw only 5 of the 10 he threw all 10 of those fuckers right at the golden calf and Edgar G. Robinson's head.

What is really funny is I saw an episode of Andy of Mayberry today and not the in bred cousin Gomer who fucked Rock Hudson all his life but the other in bred cousin did an Edgar G. Robinson impression.

It was the one where Andy and Deputy what's his name have to stay late to do inventory and through a comedy of errors their girlfriends at the time think they're fucking a couple of blonde floozies but really they're not and the girlfriends end up cancelling their date to the town dance the next day so and Andy and deputy what's his name end up going to the dance with the floozies they didn't fuck anyway.

Do you guys remember that one?

I haven't seen more BS from you on these boards in a long time. You can't count how high the number of "good" Catholics there are because you wouldn't a know a "good" one if they hit you on the head. Your definitions need work.

You are confusing human mistakes, some might call sins, with whether that makes you a good Catholic or Jew? That is complete crap. The only one who knows whether you are a truly good person or not is your maker.

. . . as if anything you said about it would mean anything to anyone that mattered. Sheesh!!

You didn't mention it first but you sure show your ignorance by trying to keep talking about it.

So wait, some people get off from not following the strictest rules of their religion, and you call them "human mistakes".

Yet Pelosi says, I believe in a woman's right to choose what happens to her body, and she's a traitor to her faith.

Well Mr. KAWDUP, why don't you tell us all what sins are okay, and what ones are damnable or make a person a "traitor", please enlighten us ignorant people with your wisdom!

You guys insist Pelosi can't have it both ways, but then that means anyone else can't either, and Catholic man who ever put on a condom, or pulled out during sex is a traitor by your definition.

Same with any Catholic woman who ever attempted any means of avoiding pregnancy aside from abstinence.

The only truly ignorant people, are people like you KAWDUP, who get too involved in someone else's religion, and put way to much stock into any of it.

Yeah riiight - I am ignorant. Shows just how much you really know. Keep believing that crap if you want. It truly does not bother me in any way.

Where in the hell did you get that I think Pelosi is a traitor to her religion? I never said that, don't normally use terms like that, and I believe nothing of the kind, because that is a judgement I cannot make. It is up to the individual to make that call for themselves.

No sins are "okay", BUT . . . there is no sin that, if you honestly are sorry for the action, can not be forgiven and thus allow you into the kingdom of heaven or to put it in the words of this discussion - allow you to be a good Catholic. Key word here is honestly. I certainly would never think that I could tell that. . . . and that is the point.

Had enough yet?

You're too busy trying attribute a superiority complex to me that doesn't exist. What a nut you are sometimes.

Just an FYI - I believe one should never make a moral issue into a political one or one on which you would make a political decision over. I just don't. Sorry to disappoint you.

Catholic is the perfect religion for sinners....all you have to do is ask for forgivness afterward. Its a sacrament.

Right it has nothing to with being actually and honestly sorry for the sin, right?

You joined this discussion on your own, if it makes you uncomfortable, just go away. :)

And you're arguing my point, that since sins are forgivable Pelosi cant be a "traitor" to her religion.

That's all I was pointing out was that people can't cherry pick who they decide to persecute over their religious beliefs.

If Smayshmouth wants to label Pelosi a "traitor" to her religion, they by his definition most everyone is a "traitor" to their religion.

I think at some point you got so wrapped up in ranting, you forgot what point you were getting at.
