Penny-Smirnoff Wedding postponed?

I posted in a thread near the end of the season, that Penny's fiancee Smirnoff is a publicity-whore and limelight lover, and that I thought that she wouldn't be too happy being married to an "unemployed" guy whose future in continuing to be a SP in MLB is now in some doubt, maybe she will consent to marry him IF another team, perhaps in the NL, signs him during the off-season as a FA..haha!!


"conflicting schedules"? If there was any conflict, it was when Penny was pitching during the season, how could he now that it is the off-season, he has tons of free-time, IMO.

Don't click on the topic then, it was pretty obvious what it was about, and being that it is early in the off-season, there ain't a whole helluva lot else to talk about, baseball-wise, until MLB comes out with the past-season's CY, MVP, ROY, SS, and GG awards and then later during the winter meetings, anyway.

My point was basically that she's famous for nothing other than being kinda hot and he's almost certainly gone from the Tigers, so I could really care less what happens to either going forward. IMHO, he'll probably be thankful down the road if it falls apart before he puts a ring on it.

Too late as far as the ring, since Brad already has slapped down almost a cool 100K for her princess-cut diamond engagement ring, which is never worth that much in resale value, plus I wonder if she would very willingly return the ring, should she be the one to back out of their betrothal, and call off their marriage, which is more than likely if Penny finds out that he can't latch on as a SP in MLB with some other team, and must toil in relative obscurity for at least a while with some team in a semi-pro league, or at best is offered a "we'll see" contract gig in the minors.
