Peters "likely" to start against Minny

I thought i read elsewhere that Harbaugh said Peters will start

I guess there could always be some random reason that he doesn't start, but i think we can expect him to start...

this kinda sets up nicely, in a way; Peters had Rutgers @ home for his first real outing. other than Illinois, that might be the easiest possible BigTen game to play in.

then he gets a slight increase in difficulty against Minnesota next week, before his first road outing @ Maryland. Then a legitimately tough road game @ Wisconsin, before armageddon 2017: Ohio State.

Peters is slow, which would be fine if our O-line was better. I think against a better defense, we're going to miss O'Korn's ability to evade tackles and it will end up being a wash between the two. On one hand, we might as well get Peters some game experience, but on the other, I think training a QB behind a crappy O-line can teach him bad habits (as it did Gardner)

if our OL is getting beat that bad (and MAN, am concerned about the OSU game now), the coaches should be coaching him to airmail into the 10th row of seats. no more INTs, please.

Yeah, we'll definitely miss O'Korn's ability to throw interceptions and fumble snaps. Couple that with his ability to never throw a TD in a start and we were really starting to see a guy the NFL was clamoring to draft.

I'll also miss watching him lock onto one WR, standing in the pocket for seven seconds, and taking a sack.

I don't think it's 2014 bad, but it's not good.

Is Peters slow? He seemed fine to me.

You could be be right. I just checked ESPN and they say his 40 time is 4.85 which isn't bad for a pocket passer. Faster than O'Korn?! Didn't look like it to me. If I'm wrong about that, then I guess I'm on board.

Yeah, all the articles I read about him say that he's a pretty solid athlete who moves well in the pocket. He's not "fast" like O'Korn, but that can almost be a detriment. He gave it one look at one read and then just bolted.

kinda noteworthy that Peters will be the first Harbaugh recruit to start at QB... 2 1/2 years into his tenure as coach.

Fingers crossed that Peters vs Rutgers is not merely OKorn vs Purdue. One decent game then shit the bed.

This is poppycock and makes no sense. Peters evaded defenders just fine and threw pretty darn good on the run. AND HE HIT HIS CHECKDOWN when needed. If dickhead Drevno plays for the 1st down like he did when Peters was brought in, we should be fine from here on out. But if he starts calling 20yd pass plays on 4th and 1 and 3rd and 6 we will be in trouble once again.

Peters played great. He Just missed a play or two.
