Ok I was at my sister's watching the game and texting Monster during that debacle of a loss and I did the cardinal sin as a Lions fan...

We were up 20-13 and in control the whole second half verses NYG.. I was channel surfer and watching the Steelers/GB game too.. I just figured up 20-13 and our defense playing so good we would run and punt.... I was giddy... Steelers were winning in GB....

Then the Lion's football god of hate woke me up and I turned I back to a 20-20 score :/
Monster text me it was a another pick 6.

I missed it live and only caught a glance of a replay... Please someone explain this dangerous
throw and why it was called and why it happened..

thanks..
Sorry I should have known better being 52 not to look ahead to the Vikings game..

3rd and long. LB to the inside, Stafford wanted to keep it outside. Threw too far outside and off Faurias hands and into safety running towards Fauria. Easy TD return.

Thanks L.

Defense was playing good... No reason to throw a dangerous out pass like that...Probably Stafford's fault first but there is no reason to even run that type of play... Just another reason this coaching staff should be broken off.

It's simple really. Stafford is not very accurate and the coaching staff is full of mental midgets. End of story.

Yup Tom.... Just run and punt and Lions are probably still in it...

How do you make a 6'8'' guy have to fly through the air JUST so he can get his fingertips on the ball from 10 yards away. 10 fucking yards!!!!! its not like its a 30 yard out.....its 10 frikken yards! 6'8''!!!! staff has been pathetic.

This is pretty accurate, but I'd like to add that it was off Fauria's fingertips and he had no chance to catch it. Which is pretty sad, since he's 6'8" and it wasn't that long of a throw.

the worst part is reggie was wide open for the first down underneath. BUt then again Stafford cant complete dump downs either so meh.....

Matt "Misfire" Stafford??

I'll say it all day. If there is one team where you could just run with no turnovers and win it was the NYG. They couldn't move the ball if their life depended on it. .

we had 21 turnover in the last 6 games lmao. not Staffords fault at all obviously.....but when you have that many turnovers and your team sucks at causing turnovers....welp....you pretty much suck as a football team.

I used to call him Stat Padford but that doesn't apply when he isn't even throwing touchdowns.

Come on everybody, time for a reality check.

Let's change that play to a run, Lions let clock wind down before punting it, maybe Giants call TO to save some time, but none of this matters and you all know it.

You know where I'm going before I even say it.

Maybe the punter actually pins the Giants at the 1, or maybe the return guy actually gets a shot. None of that matters either. Why?

There is zero chance the D would have stopped the Giants on their last drive, just like they didn't stop them in OT, why?

Cuz Gunther would have put them in the Prevent Ourselves From Winning Defense, Giants score to tie late, game goes to OT and Giants win in OT.

So at the end of the day, Stafford did the equivalent of ripping off the bandaid. It allowed us to not be in anquish for minutes, knowing what was inevitable. Sure it still stung, but it was quicker, and allowed us the chance to start recovering sooner.

Matt, thank you for providing the will to cause the briefly more painful end than the continual pain that would have come otherwise.

That's the truth. Once the INT happened I started to be calm. Thank you Matt "pick" Stafford.
