On Monday, February 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. the Plymouth District Library will host a lively multi-media presentation titled, ?Baseball in the Movies?. Veteran sports broadcaster, Raymond Rolak, will showcase America?s love affair with baseball, cinema and an interesting pop-culture timeline.

Shake off the winter blues and get ready for Spring Training with some favorite classic memories. Enjoy the humorous and nostalgic journey that baseball and the motion picture industry have imprinted into Americana.

Rolak will also highlight some behind the camera anecdotes from his current project, "Get A Job", the full feature comedy recently filmed in Hawaii. Also a special update about the upcoming ?42? starring Harrison Ford will be previewed. www.getajobmovie.com

LeVar Burton's creativity will be discussed ranging from his "Root's" journey and "One in a Million," the baseball film partially filmed in Detroit. The movie first aired on CBS Television on September 26, 1978 and was also a full feature theatrical release under a different name, "The Man of Passion."

Former Minnesota Twins pitcher, Bill Zepp, will touch on the notorious Billy Martin and Dave Boswell fight in the alley behind the Lindell A.C.

You are invited to wear your favorite baseball jersey. The event is free and registration is requested. Plymouth District Library, 223 S. Main Street, Plymouth, MI 48170 http://plymouthlibrary.org/ Events 734-453-7050
