Preseason Game 3: Jaguars @ Lions

Financial my ass. All the reports were that the money was right. It was the ins and outs of his contract that were delaying the deal. He never wanted to be here from day 1.

Oh, and he's not getting over 100MIL. Cmon. I'll gladly eat crow if he does

Ever hear of Fat Albert Haynesworth? Who reported the money was right? Lewand after a six pack, Mayhew at the combine where he looked like a Ving Rhames after he got fucked by Zed and the gimp every time Suh's name was brought up? I highly doubt Suh or his agent is telling anyone the money was right.

every FA signing has been to band aid all this crap that mayhew drafts in the upper to mid rounds.....therefor we never end up improving...just keep spinning our wheels while we sink into mediocrity.

Bush and bell are good. Don't care how we got them. Of course you need two backs in this league. Shows how clearly biased you are that you knock mayhew for bell sharing carries. Bush had 1,000 yards and 4.5 ypc. Over 200. You may be the only idiot who wants bush to get 300 carries

Broyles last shot. Titus had talent but concussion made him insane. Tate is a good player and burleson was good for us when healthy and he was healthy first 2.5 years

Best great talent. Concussion was too much

Suh elite and not gone yet. Fairley pretty productive in 2012/2013 for a blob

Tulloch good player, levy good player not just 2013

Houston played well 2010-2012. Delmas good 2009-2011 then got hurt. Solid 2013

Quin and Ihedigbo good players. Delmas was. So we moved quick once Delmas gone to get ihedigbo

Raiola resign, Mathis good sign, sims good trade, reiff good pick, warford great pick

Whitehead looking great in year 3

Ansah, slay, Taylor could all have big years

Ebron, van noy, Swanson tbd

Stafford good qb

Pettigrew was good now just solid

Can you give some examples? I'm not saying it ain't true, but of someone who was a multiple all pro leaving for nothing after their rookie deal? Add to that as well was the team better for the loss? That seems like the premise. We are better without him or at the very least it doesn't matter if he leaves for diddly squat.

And not directing this to you Ink, but in general it isn't 20 mil freed up. I think there is about 9 mil in dead money next year and minus the salary you are going to be paying his replacement which will cost at least a few mil. Also that replacement is going to be CJ Mosely.

I'm not going to argue rookie deals, because I just don't remember who left where as a rookie or two years later...

But consider some big names like Revis, who was cut this year. No return for Tampa.

Or Jake Long, the #1 overall pick, who left as a free agent, I believe after his rookie deal.

Brandon Albert was tagged for a year, and left the following year.

Paul Posluszny was a pretty big name a couple of years ago.

Mario Williams walked. No compensation back to the original team.

The fact of the matter is, most big name free agents walk away because their original team can't afford the money. Most of the time a guy doesn't get traded because trades are actually hard to pull off in the NFL. They leave with nothing coming back from the team that drafted them.

Even guys that aren't the biggest names, like Golden Tate. He was an important piece to the Seahawks, and now he's a Lion. The Seahawks didn't get anything in return for that.

The Jets received the 13th overall pick for Revis.
The Chiefs drafted Alberts replacement top 5 and used Albert as a bridge with the FT.
Mario Williams was a poor 3-4 fit for Wade Phillips defense and put up like 5 sacks as an OLB before he left.

All three had a plan which was either trade, draft, or scheme. None of them ended with the GM saying yeah guaranteed we are sign him by June. Oooooooh shit!

Paul Posluzny? Really?

Jake Long fits the bill. And the Dolphins, much like us after Suh leaves has filled that hole with multiple crappy draft picks like that guy who got bullied and journeymen free agents. That's what we get to look forward to upon Suh's departure. Woohoo Phins north.

Yeah, that's every position, fucktard. You really showed me!!! lmfao. You're such a fn clown..

Houston was a mistake he struggled last year before the injury hit.

He was injured twice. Hamstring Week 4, when he started to struggle Week 5 then the toe against Tampa.

5 per is super cheap for your #1 cb....get your facts straight.

Not in 2013. Decent sized contract. And Miami and New England wanted him. You are completely wrong. Deserved contract too after a good 2011/2012.

A team he played for 3 years and gave him a good second chance in 2010. A team he excelled for in 2011 and 2012. Yes.

or he figured the Lions had a bunch of shitty CBs so he would be the best CB on the team.
