Preseason Game 3: Jaguars @ Lions

Damn. So much for ball discipline this year. Four turnovers plus a turnover on downs.

If Broyles can stay healthy he should have a great year. Fumble or not this has been a great preseason for him. he is finally showing why we drafted him in 2nd round.

Did he play with the first team ..

A ho-hum kind of game. I was expecting more from the offense, but turnovers and penalties were found in bunches (sounds familiar).

Defense did their job well enough. I was working at the same time so didn't dissect individual players that much. I did like how Tate looks, and George Johnson.

Tavecchio miss

One good drive until redzone and great bush run. Good defense especially after stafford pick

And then the broyles show against subs

We didn't have many defensive holds and pi. Seemed to be offensive holds, off pi (questionable), coupling hit, suh late hit, offside

Meh I'd wait til the regular season, hopefully that shit is worked out by then

Now onwards to the most pointless preseason game...good news is that all the important pieces are healthy. There's hope if this team can stay healthy. 10-6 imo

-Stafford looked like shit but bounced back nicely
-Leshoure is history
-Defense played good. Bend but don't break
-George Johnson needs to stick around
-Whitehead was a beast today ....11 tackles and 3 sacks ...wow
-Wasn't impressed with the Oline in pass pro
-Offense is going to be scary when they gel
-Broyles needs to at least be the #4
-Ebron and Tate are chain movers = playmakers

All around good game. Nothing too crazy except Whitehead was flying all over the place. He made a nice case tonight.
