Preseason Game 3: Jaguars @ Lions

Would feel a lot better if they didn't get stuffed in redzone on one drive

Play calling was strange on that. I would expect them to try and go their big targets more during the season in situations like that. Calvin and Fauria for sure.

I will say this. I thing the previous coaches tried harder to win the preseason games than does Caldwell. He loves to throw back ups out there vs the other teams 1's to see how they do. The penalties are an old issue that just wont go away and several by the same it always is.

Stafford did not start well at all but he battled back well. I loved the pressure we got on the QB's. I hate the damn prevent defense and always have. But at least the D stood tall when they needed to.

Regular season those play calls are different. I thought they were working on goal line running on those 2 plays.

You should be able to get 1 yard when running two times. Play calling wasn't bad, execution was.

Not saying it wasnt. I just said I think in reg season we throw at least once.

Perhaps. Im ok with the call, they were running the ball successfully. Passing is tough that close, I'm not saying passing is wrong, but it would be questioned if not successful. But so is running, so I guess either way you just need to convert. Lol.

On a side note Bortles looks good for a rookie. Some skilled throws, some good reads.. Mixing in the occasional bad rookie mistake, but looks like he could earn the starting job.

I never thought it was possible but watching Orlofsky could actually make me stop watching football

I hope they cut him.

Now why is Tom Brady playing 3 quarters but Stafford can't play 3.

We cant do shit right. Granted this appears to be mainly 1's vs 2's
