Lots o' green, that's for sure, and is just an incomprehensible and inconceivable amount of money, esp to the average lunchpail joe & family attending the Tigers games. But I suppose it is like winning life's physical talents lottery when born, along with at least some luck mixed in, otherwise even a "caveman" could do it. I had to work each and every day, (including weekends) for 12+ hours per day from Thanksgiving week through New Years Eve, to crack 50K and did so only once in my life.

I mean JV and Miguel may need to be given that also... I know the Tigers have always had a good clubhouse but you just never know...

Cabrera and JV most likely already have that.

I mean, giving suites on the hotel is pretty common, even for non all-star FA signings.

Its all fucking "liquid" too, not like someone who is gradually going to become worth that much as a result of total income plus the estimated values of real estate holdings, other property values such as artwork, precious metals, jewelry, coins, antiques, and stock investments minus debts...all within less than a decade...wowzers!!

I get the feeling that Mr. I doesn't really care about money or the long term and just wants a championship. I also think he intends to overspend to get that, but simultaneously will set the team up for longer term success in the process. Basically I equate this to spending more than probably makes fiscal sense because he can't take it with him.

Maybe its waay past due the time for MLB, NBA, NHL, and NFL to permit expanding players' uni #s to include three digits, so that star players earning more than 99M for the life of their current contract (guaranteed or not) can (if they wish) better represent their total value to their teams...lol.

For examples, Fielder could "sport" #214, Pooholes #240, Werth #126, Ovechkin #123, Vick #130...Lesidekick and Bosh for the Miami Heat both signed identical 6 year, 110.1M contracts, so there might be a problem with which one gets to wear #110...maybe LeSidekick could wear #110.1..hahaa!!
